George Soros, billionaire philanthropist & bete noir of conservatives has created a column. The Wall Street JournalHe defends his donation to liberal prosecutors, who release criminals on low bail or no bail and result in them frequently committing new crimes.
Soros asserts that a choice between justice and public safety is false and they both reinforce one another. Soros can wax lyrical about this issue since he most likely has security protection.
These proposals, which he suggests to lower crime and reform the criminal law system, have already been tested. He makes the ludicrous claim that “there is no connection between the election of reform-minded prosecutors and local crime rates. In fact, violent crime in recent years has generally been increasing more quickly in jurisdictions without reform-minded prosecutors.”

Soros, like many progressives, blames racism in the increase of Black men being arrested for both violent and nonviolent crime. The latest however Department of Justice Statisticians show that Black victims are more likely to be violently convicted than whites, with 70.3 percent being fellow Blacks and 10.6 percent being White. Apart from the progressive Soros-funded prosecutors, moral and spiritual causes are key to rising crime. Rising crime can be attributed to a sense of entitlement, envy and sexism among the wealthy. Look at the frequent looting of expensive pharmacies and stores that one regularly sees on television.
African Americans have suffered the most from violence crime of any racial group than other races. Many prominent Black voices, including former leader of the NAACP, Thomas Sowell, have accurately diagnosed this crime problem. Riley made the following observation: “History has proved that Moynihan was onto something. The report revealed that 25 percent of the black children lived with a single parent, while 5 percent of the white children did. In the following 20 years, the black population would increase by more than two-thirds and the gap in racial makeup would grow. Today more than 70 percent of all black births are to unmarried women, twice the white percentage.”
Even though no prosecutor is able to rebuild the family, they can help protect the public by making sure laws are enforced and tightening bail, especially for violent offenders. Religious communities and prison programs can help to revive the family system.
George Soros’s approach will make it easier for offenders to commit crimes and increase the chances that they do. He might speak to crime victims about their views on the revolving doors that have become an integral part of the criminal justice process.
