Stop me if you’ve heard this one before: Chief Justice John Roberts attempts to twist the law into nothingness in order to appease leftwing activists.
That’s the story of a fresh leak from CNN claiming that Roberts attempted to convince several of the real conservative justices on the Supreme Court to reaffirm Roe v. Wade. This confirms the suspicions of many as this saga lasted for several months before the drop of the Dobbsdecision which sent the abortion issue back to the states.

Roberts is known for his long-standing habit of disregarding the legal aspects so that he can make the most controversial decisions in every case. The most infamous example happened during Barack Obama’s tenure. Obama officials were insistent in arguing against the Affordable Care Act wasn’tPublic and court tax were imposed because the politicians felt it was expedient.
Roberts was able to maintain the ACA, finding it acceptable. Was a tax despite the very people who wrote it saying it wasn’t. It was the most absurd Supreme Court decision in recent history. This justice disregarded the intentions of a piece legislative in an effort to create the least public consternation.
Other examples include Roberts’s participation in the failed effort to enforce unequally applied COVID limitations on prayer meetings. He voted to repeal a Louisiana law that required abortion facilities to adhere to basic health standards. Roberts, in that instance, had cast another vote on the exact same question prior to claiming he was bound over precedent for a case he pointedly claimed was wrong.
This is the basic idea. Roberts is a coward, constantly shifting his standards in order to keep the left happy because he’s terrified their public outbursts might “delegitimize” the court. However, the Supreme Court doesn’t exist to calm public opinion. It exists to interpret and apply the law based upon its merits. That Roberts’ concerns about legitimacy only seem to go in one political direction only makes things worse.
Yet, there’s something else to note about this CNN leak. Namely, it’s specifically designed to make you believe that the Dobbs The draft leaker was a conservative. You can see that Roberts might have been able to shift Justice Brett Kavanaugh, or Justice Amy Coney Barrett had it not been for the leak.
To be frank, that’s a ridiculous assertion. It was clear that no conservative justice let the draft slip, knowing it would lead to dangers to their lives as well as abject chaos outside of their homes. The leak actually made it more difficult for voters to repeal the draft Roe To stand strong.
Roberts’ absurd notion of Kavanaugh and Barrett changing their vote was not going to persuade them. Roe Casey It could be kept while the viability testing is eliminated. This would be completely against the law. But so is the chief justice. Roberts might not be concerned about these details, but Kavanaugh or Barrett are.
This leak confirms everything I have said for many years. Roberts is an absolute disaster. This latest leak is an indication that Roberts’ influence has diminished. My answer? Good.
