Fraudulent News Breaks, Olympic Low-Stakes, and Corrupted Cupcakes – Opinion

Our weekly recognition of less-than-meritorious excellence in journalism is worthy of Pulitzer Prize consideration.

Townhall has also added a media-mocking component. Taken from the HeadlinesOnce again, we recognize outstanding performances by our journalists industry and compile meritorious submissions to The Pulitzer Prize board for many categories. We must recognize journalistic mistakes that are not up to par. Let us now look at some of the best examples.

Distinguished Breaking News

The reflexive desire to first report on a breaking news story is something that many journalists see. April Ryan seems in need of recovering some of her former CNN stature, as she addresses a non-vital news story with the dressed-up announcement that she has a “Scoop.” April announces that President Biden is poised to announce his new Supreme Court nominee before the end of the month, but her Exclusive/Breaking/ScoopIt is slightly undermined somewhat by the fact this announcement was made earlier by the President.

There has been plenty of negative news emanating from the recently-completed winter Olympics, but one story has managed to…well, not rise above the others. Many competitors will give their arms for Olympic glory. However, I don’t know what one Finnish skier gave up to get the same path that most male athletes take.

Remi Lindholm competed in the Mass Start ski race and shrank to the disadvantage of his competitors. It was discovered that his penis had frozen as he reached the FINISH mark.

A Louisiana couple is A long list of charges could be imposedIncludes Video voyeurism, child pornography and child pornography are some of the charges. One of the more than 100 charges was that the teacher used questionable additives in the treats she sent to her students.

Distinguished Cultural Commentary

Celebrities continue to create their own liquor brands. This questionable quality of alcohol is further raised when celebrities are involved in the Kardashian Klan. Kendal Jenner has her own tequila, but stating it is “her own” raises even more questions. Jenner’s brand 818 Tequila is being sued by another tequila Brand, 512 Tequila for resembling their product too closely in name and appearance.

Distinguished Breaking News

Lindsay Lohan joins Tok Tok. This is entertainment’s biggest news. Wait, there’s more. It was the stage that the actress made the announcement about how she mispronounced her name all those years. The result is a more peaceful world.

Distinguished Editorial Writing

Black Lives Matter continues to be a source of confusion for media. It involved the attempted assassination by Quinteez, who is a gun control activist. At the Las Vegas Sun last week, they wrote a fractured editorial, decrying violence of this nature – BUT in the most backward of fashions. Brown’s affiliation with left-wing organizations was never mentioned by the paper. The editorial made the matter worse when it portrayed conservatives in a negative light as being responsible for violence political.

The paper reacted to the criticisms in an uncharacteristic way. After Tucker Carlson’s critiques, Greg Gutfeld wrote an editorial responding. The Sun was almost three times longer than its original. This editorial condemned conservative critics and said that the Sun had written a much worse response.
