Former President Donald Trump Supports the Ukrainian Resistance – Opinion

I don’t think this needs to be said but just in case, for any new readers here at RedState: Former President Donald Trump is someone who is not afraid to speak his mind. His feelings on many issues are well-known, which drives his critics crazy.

Now, it might drive some of his “supporters” crazy also.

With this blog post, I addressed a portion of the running theory that I had about people who claimed to love America and Donald Trump providing verbal cover for Putin’s invasion of Ukraine.  Donald Trump Cracks a Joke About Bombing Russia and Hurts Feelings on All Sides of Political Spectrum. From that post…

Former President Donald Trump mused Saturday to the GOP’s top donors that the United States should label its F-22 planes with the Chinese flag and “bomb the s–t out of Russia.”

He also praised North Korean leader Kim Jong Un as “seriously tough,” claimed he was harder on Vladimir Putin than any other president, reiterated his false claims that he won the 2020 election, urged his party to be “tougher” on supposed election fraud, disparaged a range of prominent party opponents and called global warming “a great hoax” that could actually bring a welcome development: more waterfront property.

“And then we say, China did it, we didn’t do it, China did it, and then they start fighting with each other and we sit back and watch,” he said of labeling U.S. military planes with Chinese flags and bombing Russia, which was met with laughter from the crowd of donors, according to a recording of the speech obtained by The Washington Post.

Ohhhhhh! I got a bunch of emails telling me how stupid I was from people who had looked at my BIO. While I realize I haven’t responded to every single one of these emails, I intend to once I’m over laughing at the jokes.

Now in the example above, Trump was obviously joking about having undercover jets from the United States dress up as Chi-Com jets to bomb Russia, and start W.W. III between the two of the world’s most nefarious nations. Yet his actions with what he actually DID do as President line up with an interview he just did with Sean Hannity Thursday night, where he commented about Putin’s invasion.

Just as a warning, if you have said in the past three weeks anything like “Putin is bad, BUT,” you might want to take a deep breath before reading this next section.

Thursday night on the Fox News show “Hannity,” the former President had his harshest criticism yet for the Russian invasion of Ukraine, and it might be worth pondering why. From Business Insider

Former President Donald Trump said Vladimir Putin was “having a lot of trouble” invading Ukraine, saying the Russian president thought it would only be a “48-hour deal.”

In a Thursday interview with Fox News’ Sean Hannity, Trump said the Russian invasion of Ukraine was “truly is a crime against humanity” that “has to end soon.”

“Putin is having a lot of trouble right now. He’s having big big trouble because he thought it was going to be a 48-hour deal and the Ukrainians are good fighters,” he told Hannity.

The Russian army is committing “crimes against humanity” at the direction of who again? Ah, yes, Putin.

This may shock some people who think almost all the videos coming from Ukraine are fake. But there’s a war on. You might be wrong to believe that YouTube or TikTok videos are accurate reports of news.

It is obvious that the media can’t be trusted in any way. Therefore, it would be prudent to ask questions about what is actually happening in Ukraine. But who can I trust? The former President of the United States who put America first–and still gets a version of the Presidential Daily Briefing and has a pretty good idea of the intelligence of the slaughter going on–or that a person begging for clicks on social media with no sources?

Perhaps I should also add that John Daly, the golfer was recorded telling Trump during a telephone call that he once told Putin that he would bomb Moscow for making a move towards Ukraine. From Press-Telegram .

During the conversation with Daly, according to a video posted by @nopopsgolf Instagram, Trump said he “got along great” with Putin while in office and seemed to imply that Russia didn’t invade Ukraine while he was President because he had threatened to bomb Moscow.

Donald Trump, Mike Pompeo and others developed a strategy for the foreign policy. It kept Russia and China in suspense and didn’t allow them to be tested. Now we have a President who doesn’t know how to steer, with Putin and Xi Jinping taking liberty wherever they please.

I’m not one of those progressive lib hacks that will try to reinterpret what the former President meant on “Hannity.” Donald Trump said crimes against humanity were being committed in Ukraine. For his explanation of the Putin invasion, Trump did not mention BUT. He didn’t offer any excuses to explain the biggest land invasion of Europe in Europe since WW II.

The President stated that the war crime was clear and unambiguous.

Donald Trump has my full support.

If you are making excuses for this invasion, why aren’t you?
