A former writer at The New York TimesTwitter is being sued.
Alex Berenson was a journalist, and an skeptic about vaccines for the COVID epidemic. He is the author of “Unreported Truths about COVID-19 and Lockdowns.”
Twitter suspended Berenson multiple times for his views about the vaccine.
“For this tweet, which is completely accurate and does nothing but quote PFIZER’S OWN CLINICAL TRIAL DATA. Welcome to the Brave New World,” he said after he was suspended for tweeting the results of a Pfizer clinical test. “I probably have about one strike left after this. And it’s gonna go quick. Protest to Twitter if you are concerned about freedom of speech. Tell everyone you know to register here. I will do as much as I can on here.”
He was later permanently banned from Twitter after he tweeted that the COVID vaccine “doesn’t stop infection or transmission.”
Berenson’s lawyers alleged that his claim was “true at the time and is true now.”
“It is undisputed that vaccinated persons can contract and spread COVID-19,” the lawsuit said.
Berenson also alleged that as a “common carrier,” Twitter is required to provide service to all users, like a railroad or telegram.
‘Twitter’s role in public debate in the twenty-first century resembles that of the telegraph in the nineteenth,’ the complaint said.
Berenson further stated that he has a “unique” claim under the law and that Twitter censored him at the behest of the federal government.
After he announced his lawsuit on Substack, he added: “Remember, folks – Don’t take the law into your own hands, you take ‘em to court!”
