Welp, one more reason I won’t be moving to Los Angeles anytime soon. Street robberies have gotten so out of control in parts of the city that the LAPD has issued a “follow-home robberies” alert: If you’ve been out shopping, having dinner with friends, or grabbing a few beers with your buds, and a bad guy follows you home to steal your stuff? Angelenos, don’t be afraid to let the bad guy have it. “Cooperate and comply.”

It works in Walmart and Best Buy, so why not your own home?
KABC-TV reported Wednesday that robbery victims were followed home from Melrose Avenue and the Jewelry District. They also visited nightclubs and top-end restaurants. The alert stated that purses and watches, as well as necklaces and bracelets, are common targets for robbery. You can also find out more about And MoneyOf course.

As a result, said KABC, business on Melrose Avenue is down “30-something percent from 2019 numbers.”
Victims are also being targeted depending on what type of vehicle they own. LAPD reported that although multiple suspects have been arrested and are being identified, the crimes continue, with other cities affected by the robberies. The police issued a number of suggestions to the community as part the alarm. (And alive)This is despite the rise in crime.
The “safety tips” include:
You should be alert to your surroundings and look out for unusual things before you get out of your car.
Avoid displaying expensive property, such as jewelry, watches and purses in public.
Call 911 if you feel that you might be being monitored while driving. If you can, take the vehicle to the closest station of police.
Don’t resist the suspects in robbery; just cooperate with them. You can be a great witness.
A robbery should be reported immediately to the police by calling 911 Notify the police immediately of any details you have about the crime, suspects and vehicle.
Great tips. But here’s the thing. It’s the same as in many other major countries. Democrat-run cities across America in the aftermath of George Flloyd, our nation’s police departments and law enforcement officers have become the BAD guys — in the warped minds of the left, and theBad guysHave become theFor victims.
Michael Moore, Chief of the LAPD, summarized it:
“Cooperate with that person. There’s nothing on your person that’s worth your life.”
Although Chief Moore is correct, there are many reasons for the increase in crime.
Defund’s insaneness has caused exactly the same thing that rational, rational citizens predicted. Police officers have become targets, and violent crime has exploded — and now “street crime” to the level in one of America’s once-proud cities that the police department is forced to warn residents not to Rolex could cost them their livesStepping out of a restaurant at the end of an evening.
Angelenos!
