Florida Sen. Rick Scott Calls on Biden to Resign in Scathing New Ad – Opinion

Senator Rick Scott, R-Fla. is hammering President Joe Biden in a television commercial that will be broadcast nationwide.

“Joe Biden has destroyed America’s economy,” Scott, who is the chairman of the National Republican Senatorial Committee, said in the advertisement funded by his own campaign, Fox News reported.

“It’s time to be honest with the American people. Joe Biden is unfit for office and should resign,” he added.

The ad is an effort to promote his “Rescue America” agenda, which has been a frequent target of the president. In fact, Biden’s criticism of the plan is where the phrase “ultra-MAGA” originated.

Scott called on the President to Resign in recent Past, because he feels that Biden is mentally unfit to hold office. Fox News however noted that not all Republicans in Senate share this sentiment.

Although it is impossible to argue about whether a Biden resignation, even if the Vice President Kamala Harris or Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi were the next in line for the job, his interesting comment about the economy can be debated.

There are many factors that influence the current economic realities for Americans. However, inflation and other issues can be attributed to excessive government spending. American Rescue Plan cost $1.9 trillion and infrastructure bills were $1.2 trillion. That’s a very high price.

In terms of gas prices specifically, Republicans view the Democrats’ hesitancy to increase domestic oil and gas production as a double-edged sword. For example, ditching the Keystone XL Pipeline cost American jobs, and the general reliance on other countries sets the United States up for failure, especially when they’re at the mercy of the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC).

If Scott and his colleagues win back the Senate in November, it will likely be due to voters’ frustrations over their wallets. Biden may not resign but many conservative voters would prefer him to leave office. So this advertisement will hopefully motivate them to vote during the November midterms. Republicans could act as a barricade to the president’s agenda, even though Biden and Harris will still be steering the ship of the Executive Branch.
