FBI Raid on Trump Has Awakened the Sleeping Giant – Opinion

There’s a reason that you don’t kick a (metaphorical) sleeping giant. It’s a big mistake.

Trump’s private residence was like being kicked by the sleeping giant. If people weren’t already fired up to come out to kick the Democrats out, this just made them more energized to do so.

An updated Trafalgar Group/Convention of States Action Poll was conducted after the raid and shows an increase in motivation to vote, especially for Republicans and Independents. Most believe that the raid is politically motivated.

83.3 per cent of Republicans stated that this increased their desire to vote in November.

71.7% of independents stated that it had increased their motivation.

Both Republicans and Independents believed that it was political motivated.

76.7 percent of Republicans think that it was Trump’s “political enemies” behind the raid.

A mere 53.9 percent believe it.

It isn’t even just the Trump raid. They’ve seen what happened with the FBI seizing a sitting member of Congress’ cellphone in front of his family. The House Republican leadership was fired up by the action taken against Scott Perry (R.PA), the Head of the House Freedom Caucus. House GOP Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) issued a warning to Merrick Garland to “Preserve your documents.” Now, the FBI also reportedly visited or dropped subpoenas on Republican lawmakers in Pennsylvania, adding one more concerning action to an FBI that seems out of control.

They believe that Democrats have politicized all aspects of the FBI. These people believe the Democrats will do any thing to maintain control and eliminate their political adversaries. These Democrats believe they are putting the country at risk by implementing banana republic policies. They believe that puts the whole nature of our Republic — built on the equal application of the rule of law — in danger.

As the president of Convention of States Action Mark Meckler explained in a statement about the poll, “This gestapo-style injustice has created a voting surge that is so significant, the polling doesn’t even begin to reflect what is coming from grassroots voters in November.”
