Exposing the Sham of the Media Outrage at Florida’s Nazis Is Easy, Once You Meet Them  – Opinion

A firsthand account of Florida’s Nazi…non-problem.

For years, the media have been trying to show that there’s a serious problem with white supremacy in America. While we insist we are witnessing a wave of such stunted thinkers we find that the media is treating us to an interminable gathering of attention-seeking journalists desperate for attention. While outlets keep delivering their messages, we are told what is unacceptable about their message for the public.

This self-induced press paradox is only the beginning of the problem. Experiencing these same Nazis in person ends the “problem.”

A group of alleged Nazis gathered on an Orlando street corner a few weeks ago to cause a commotion in a beer glass. In order to make a dramatic story, the media praised cosplay clodpolls for exaggerating their importance and influence. A mere dozen people were raised to the level of a growing hate group. Democrat candidate for governor Nikki Fried then scampered in front of cameras to express her outrage; not at the Nazis — but at Governor Ron DeSantis, for not being sufficiently outraged.

DeSantis was accused of being a Nazi sympathizer and media reports and editorials outlined in an awkward fashion how he was an anti-Semite and Trump acolyte. All this was due to the fact that DeSantis never supported Trump. These journalists professionals cannot ignore DeSantis long-standing history of pro-Israeli positions and pro-Jewish legislation in an attempt to show complicity. One other thing they need to ignore – the Nazis themselves.

At this weekend’s CPAC conference in Orlando, you had some of the expected protesters, airplane banners, and resistance harpies, but on leaving the convention center Saturday afternoon I spied, on one street corner, a clutch of mewling cranks. There were protest signs, hats and masks visible. But I shifted to find their group after I saw the Nazi flag. A It is solitary flag.

The first indication of the “Florida Nazi” narrative derailing is the very fact they were on site protesting the convention. Why are they yelling at the Republicans when the GOP and other political leaders claim to be sympathetic to their cause? This gathering was organic and hate mongers, unlike the staged tiki torch events at Glenn Youngkin rallies, or the unorganized Patriot Front posers marching for Life. They were furious at the Republicans.

They were also quite incompetent. They looked more like an untrained group of workers, who were caught behind Burger King leeching on the internet signal. The group sat in a desultory manner, not delivering any real messages. As if uninformed, they looked around and relied on one another to keep their composure. One of the protestors was holding up signs that he was against the Canadian trucker protest. All the rest of the group were just looking at each other and mingling.

Instead of making eye contact, I received shakey expressions as I moved up to a few, hoping for discussion. They were not interested in my credentials so I waved them around. The protestors were openly hateful, but cautious in their messages.

Their PR claims that they are SOL is laughable, but I was shocked to see what I saw as I looked around. These nine insane Nazis stood 50ft away from Orlando police officers who were standing in the shade of trees. This gave the impression of outcasts, who don’t like being seen challenging authority, but are too afraid to do so.

It is this that makes megaphones in the press all the more annoying. We don’t see interviews with leaders at these events. Instead you are presented with B-roll photographs that have been carefully selected. These images show the leaders of these gatherings in dramatic tones and no investigation into their group. Because it would reveal the absurdity of their movement. The press is desperate to inflate the import of these gatherings because they can then inaccurately use them as a cudgel against Trump/DeSantis/Republicans/conservatives.

This is an ineffective effort. Journos claim we’re being overtaken and dominated by white supremacy. However, they need to resort to hyperstylism to achieve this. It is like watching fascist dogma being preached in stadiums. But, you actually have an eclectic mix of part-time busboys and online course dropouts who are trying to be accepted. Telling us to take these cammo-mooks seriously means their reporting — and the media itself — has become a joke.
