Evan McMullin (Opportunistic Party) Takes a Stand on Abortion Rights That Opposes…Evan McMullin – Opinion

Evan McMullin is a desperate candidate who seems incapable to keep his own position straight.

Normaly, such cases like this are easily ignored. Although Evan McMullin’s history is difficult to overlook, it is hard not to see the grifting opportunism that he has been known for. You can’t help but laugh.

McMullin currently is running in the Utah Senate seat, though not as a Republican. Evan is claiming to want to unseated Mike Lee, who is currently up for reelection. However, he will not be running in the GOP primary. You would think battling for conservative votes would be the natural course for the man who built a reputation – but not a career – as a principled anti-Trump conservative.

Except Sen. Lee is not exactly a Trump mouthpiece, so this undercuts Evan’s preferred method of gaining notice. It is also worth noting that Lee won with close to 70 percent votes in his last election. He has a very conservative agenda so McMullin could have little to do with what Lee did. This leaves McMullin with no choice but to be an independent candidate. McMullin will not be seeking a House seat so one has to wonder how serious his wish for a Washington job is.

The situation appears to not be serious. As he doesn’t seem to be building legitimacy, it seems that McMullin is merely trying to draw money. McMullin already stated that he would not be a member of any party if he wins his election. This undercuts any relevance were he to reach the Senate as it impedes chances for committee appointments – but, it means he is not distancing any potential voters…and donors.

McMullin, who was trying to appear smart on the subject, decided to comment on the Supreme Court’s leaked opinion draft on abortion. He failed to make a clear position. This is an equivocating position.

This class is for juniors who want to be authoritative on a subject without taking a position.

  • I’m concerned
  • This campaign is all about finding a way to move forward.
  • For sensible legislation, I’m a champion
  • “…Women receive better support
  • “…Establishes acceptable standards
  • Life commitment must be greater
  • “…Judge less, do more

He does not provide any concrete policy details or give direct actions. Evan attempts to be a neutral party on a third-rail topic like abortion and doesn’t say anything. This makes for the most milquetoast of T-shirt slogans – basically, “Ideas that are good and make sense appeal to me..” However, this amorphous agenda flies directly in the face of another politician’s direct messaging on abortion: Evan McMullin, circa 2016.

You will recall that Evan said in 2012 that he was the moral and sound choice for conservatives running for president. McMullin became the NeverTrump candidate after the Manhattan-based land baron won the GOP primary. Operated by the political agent with distemperRick Wilson. This was nothing but a money grab. Evan finished behind Trump and also the Libertarians and Green Party candidates.

He is now running for the Utah Senate seat. For proof of that vacant process we only have to take a look at his uninformed commentary today on abortion. Evan was more assertive when he opposed Trump. Then, he actually supported the exact same position as seen in that leaked SCOTUS draft — McMullin was all about repealing the 1973 ruling.

McMullin is worried about the future and considers McMullin’s call for Roe vs. Wade to be extreme today. What has changed? One, his opponent. Trump was an abortion supporter in 2016. Today, Trump opposes Mike Lee who is a prolife senator. McMullin has been de facto the Democrat candidate. His call for repealing the abortion ruling is not supported by his party.

The Utah Democratic Party delegated its members just over one week ago Voted to send their candidateThey instead voted to support McMullin’s candidacy for the November election. The result was that the Principled conservatismHe cannot continue to run for office on the previous call to abolish the national abortion ruling. Today he is a neutered voice on the matter, who is “Concerned” and wants to “Do less, but do more.”

Evan McMullin’s dedication to his principles and the paid-escort will help him identify where his campaign has the greatest challenge over the next months. He will have to be against himself.
