Mr. Elon Musk, it looks like America and one of her astronauts aboard the International Space Station might need you. This is the location where you and your spacecrafts have been to many times. It has allowed America to no longer depend on Russia for lift-ups and returns home.
That’s right.
The Putin World Tour has apparently made it into the sky, proving that even a messy Earth can get into space.
About 254 Miles up, anyway.
While the Big Blue Marble that is Earth goes to wreak havoc, NASA astronauts from Russia or the United States are watching and probably wondering what’s going on below. Although they live and work in close quarters most of the day, this might pose a problem for some.
Dmitry Rogozin from the Russian Space Agency made a subtle threat to not bring back the American astronaut who was due to be transferred on March 31st.
The following are the New York Post
An American astronaut aboard the International Space Station is set to return to Earth with two Russian cosmonauts next month — but his trip home has been marred by uncertainty after a Vladimir Putin ally reportedly threatened to leave him behind.
The scheduled return to Earth for US astronaut Mark Vande Hei was thrown into question after Dmitry Rogozin, the head of Russia’s Space Agency, made the threats in a Feb. 26 video that he posted to social media, ABC News reported.
Vande Hei’s warning came after President Biden announced sanctions on Russia in response to Moscow’s invasion of Ukraine.
Biden said the sanctions would “degrade” Russia’s aerospace industry and space program, according to the report.
How does one say, “Let’s Go, Dmitry” in Russian?
I.S.S. was created to accomplish this goal. The whole idea of the I.S.S. was to get governments to cooperate in operating a space station that would force people down there to be more responsible. This concept worked for more than two decades even though Russia invaded Georgian and Crimea. George W. Bush’s rash decision to terminate the Space Shuttle Program, leaving America dependent on Russia to transport them to the I.S.S, left us insignificant when it came to space exploration.
Thankfully, the private sector, led by Elon Musk and his company Space X in conjunction with NASA, recently allowed the United States to forgo depending in Russia for rides, and now can send manned rockets from the United States’ soil again.
In all honesty, I have no idea if Dmitry Rogozin is being serious about leaving any American on the station while defending his boss Putin’s boneheaded decision to invade Ukraine. Even though tensions are high, it is funny that he even made a joke about such an incident.
Badly.
In my last post I mentioned Mr. Musk. Elon Musk Puts Country Before Profit in New Tweet That Will Upset DemocratsHis common sense and his rockets may be our only hope. It’s possible to now make space travel for private companies, thanks to his vision and determination.
We won’t have any Russians stranded 200+ miles above Earth, asking why they are used to be political pawns by the Russians seeking more oil or money.
Thanks to Elon Musk and Space X, we can thank God.
