Donald Trump Releases Powerful Video the Morning After the FBI Raid on Mar-a-Lago – Opinion

Monday night, we learned the stunning news that the FBI had conducted a raid on former President Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago home. While we’ve yet to see the warrant or documentation supporting the raid, the reports are that it was connected to classified material removed from the White House, at issue under the Presidential Records Act.

While the fallout from this unprecedented move will continue to unfold — likely for years — Trump himself wasted no time in sharing his own reaction to it. Initialy, Trump sent out an e-mail.

This is a dark time for the Nation. My beautiful home in Mar-A-Lago, Florida, has been raided and under siege by large numbers of FBI agents. A President of the United States has never experienced anything like it before. This unannounced raid at my house was unnecessary and inappropriate after I had worked with all the appropriate Government agencies. It is prosecutorial misconduct, the weaponization of the Justice System, and an attack by Radical Left Democrats who desperately don’t want me to run for President in 2024, especially based on recent polls, and who will likewise do anything to stop Republicans and Conservatives in the upcoming Midterm Elections. This kind of attack can only be made in Third-World countries. Unfortunately, America is now one of these Countries and has become corrupt to a degree not seen before. Even broke into my safe! Is this different from Watergate? In which operatives entered the Democrat National Committee, what is the difference? This is the reverse: Democrats have broken into the United States 45th President’s home.

Donald J. Trump’s political persecution has continued for many years. It is now all over with the fully discredited Russia, Russia Scam and Impeachment Hoax #1. Political targeting at the highest levels is what it is!

Hillary Clinton was allowed 33,000 EMails to be deleted and acid washed after they had been subpoenaed. She has not been held accountable for anything. Even antique furniture and other White House items were taken by her.

I stood up to America’s bureaucratic corruption, I restored power to the people, and truly delivered for our Country, like we have never seen before. It was hated by the establishment. As they witness my endorsed candidate win huge victories and observe my dominance over all polls they try to stop me (and the Republican Party) once again. We must expose and stop the lawlessness, political persecution and Witch Hunt.

Continue to fight for America’s Great People.

Trump posted a strong campaign video to Truth Social on Tuesday morning. One needn’t read between lines to pick up on his intentions. And, regardless of one’s political bent, it’s impossible to miss the masterful marketing here:

It runs three minutes forty-six seconds. It opens like a movie, with the President’s name over the title: “A Nation in Decline” against a black background. We hear Trump’s voice, somberly intoning: “We are…a failing nation…We are a nation that has the highest inflation in over 40 years.”

We then see him, in black and white, at a podium, as he continues: “Where the stock market just finished the worst first-half of a year in more than five decades.”

The video shows stark scenes such as oil wells and power lines. Trump also describes our current situation in a sobering manner.

We are a nation that has the highest energy cost in its history, and we are no longer energy-independent or energy-dominant — which we were just two short years ago.

Our nation is in desperate need of oil from Saudi Arabia and Venezuala.

We are a nation that surrendered in Afghanistan, leaving behind dead soldiers, American citizens, and 85 billion dollars’ worth of the finest military equipment in the world.

We are a nation that allowed Russia to devestate a country — Ukraine — killing hundreds of thousands of people — and it will only get worse.

We are a nation that has weaponized its law enforcement against the opposing political party like never before — we’ve never seen anything like this.

We are a nation that no longer has a free and fair press — fake news is about all you get.

Our nation is a place where freedom of speech and crime are banned, the economy is in crisis, and where COVID is more prevalent in 2021 than it was in 2020.

We are a nation that is allowing Iran to build a massive nuclear weapon and China to use the trillions and trillions of dollars it’s taken from the United States to build a military to rival our own.

Our nation has been disregarded and not listened to for the last two-years.

We are hostile to freedom, liberty, and faith.

Our nation is in financial trouble, our stores don’t have enough stock, we aren’t getting deliveries, and our educational system ranks at the bottom on every list.

Our nation has, in many aspects, become a joke.

We then return to Trump in color. His music is uplifting and he promises an optimistic crowd.

Soon, however, greatness will return to our country. This country was built by hardworking patriots such as you. It is you, hardworking patriots, who will save it.

You can climb any mountain. You can reach any summit. We can meet any challenge. You can’t win every challenge.

We are not going to bend. We are not going to give in. We will not yield — ever, ever, ever. We won’t give up. We won’t let you down.

We can defeat the dictators and tyrants if we stand united. We are Americans, we bow to God and God alone. It is now that it’s time for us to talk about the greatness of our country.

After that, we go back to black. The video concludes with one simple sentence:

“…the best is yet to come.”

–President Donald J. Trump

“The best is yet to come” from Donald Trump’s video released 8/9/22

Definitely shades of Reagan’s famous and much-beloved “Morning in America” ad. No doubt that’s intended. Donald Trump is the object of much hatred, but anyone who has an ounce intellectual honesty will not be able to deny that the man understands marketing. His fans will love it; his critics will hate it — almost as much as they hate him.

But for those who view Monday’s Mar-a-Lago raid as the coup de grâce for Donald Trump, I’ll paraphrase one of the country’s most beloved writers and humorists: As with most things Trump, the reports of his demise are…greatly exaggerated.
