Deranged MSNBC LIB: We’ve Got to Scare the Hell Out of Voters to Save Democracy

On Wednesday’s Deadline: White House on MSNBC, host Nicolle Wallace and her panel of leftists and conspiracy theorists spent an entire segment panicking that democracy in America is over if Republicans win control of Congress in the 2022 midterm elections.

After fretting over the results of last night’s gubernatorial and congressional primaries in which some Trump backed candidates won, MSNBC political analyst Cornel Belcher freaked out that democracy is done for if Republicans win.

“2022 is going to be the most consequential election of our time” Belcher said. Falsely explaining that “you’ve got hundreds of these people who are literally running on the ideal that I’m going to overturn an election if it doesn’t go our way.”

Channeling Benjamin Franklin, Belcher warned “we have a republic if we can keep it” and in the 2022 midterms “we’re gonna answer Ben Franklin’s refrain whether or not we can keep this republic and if Republicans do win this election to Dowd’s point in 2024, we’re gonna lose democracy.”

Later on in the segment, he wailed over the lack of voter participation among key Democrat constituencies: “we got to give them a reason to feel they have skin in the game, that this is important to them that losing democracy is important to them.”

His solution to drive Democrat voters to the polls it to lie to them and tell them if they don’t vote, democracy is finished and they will lose their rights:

If you feel like you are losing your rights, then what is the future of democracy? It’s clear that African Americans are the least motivated to vote in this midterm. Where do you think you’re going to stand in a country in America where there’s no democracy, where they have absolutely no interest or—at all in respecting your rights.

Continuing on his demagogic rant, Belcher demanded that “we’ve got to let these people understand that they’ve got skin in this game, and we’ve got to scare the hell out of them because quite frankly, Nicolle, they should be afraid that we’re going to lose our democracy.”

Belcher understands that fear and division are the only things his party has to survive. Belcher’s rant is an acknowledgement of this fact.

MSNBC’s Deadline for White House
6/15/2022

CORNELL BELCHHER: Nicolle believes that 2022 will prove to be one of the most crucial elections in recent history. As the reports have shown, hundreds of these individuals are running for office on the promise that they will win an election.

NICOLLE WALKACE: No.

BELCHER: Nicolle. If we keep the republic, then we are able to preserve it.  We’ll find out in 2022 whether Ben Franklin’s refrain holds true. I believe we’ll answer Ben Franklin’s refrain whether this republic can be kept. And if the Republicans win in 2024 to Dowd’s point, democracy will soon end.

(…)

BELCHER – I am trying to speed up because Dowd wants them to see that their campaign is a way to help them understand the importance of having skin in it. Right now, Dowd has made the argument that people don’t believe they have skin. Campaigns give people a reason for feeling that they are part of the game.

If you feel like you are losing your rights, then what is the future of democracy? What do you think African Americans and especially African American men are feeling right now? Where do you think you’re going to stand in a country in America where there’s no democracy, where they have absolutely no interest or—at all in respecting your rights. These people need to understand they have skin in the game. We must scare them.
