You’ll recall the incident that occurred last September at the US-Mexico border when photographers caught agents on horseback using their long reins to control their horses as they tried to slow the onslaught of migrants illegally crossing the Rio Grande river into our country.
The Biden administration immediately drew conclusions, saying the agents were “whipping” the migrants as if they were slaves. “To see people treated like they did, horses barely running over, people being strapped – it’s outrageous,” Joe Biden told reporters after the photographs surfaced. “I promise you, those people will pay.”
The agents were quickly cleared from any wrongdoing and the controversy was soon dispelled. So, what’s the poor Biden Administration to do? Punish them for “administrative violations,” of course.
Fox News reported Tuesday that the Department of Homeland Security will discipline multiple horseback Border Patrol agents in the debunked “whipping” of Haitian migrants story. Already suffering from low morale due to record migrant surges at the US-Mexico border, agents are reportedly “furious” over the decision.
Why? Because they know they’re being made into scapegoats for the failed border policy of the Biden administration.
According to reports, the Biden Administration plans to penalize border agents who are accused of whipping migrants in spite of the disproven claims. https://t.co/UzcBMJmFzy President Biden not only declared them guilty but pledged punishment before the start of the investigation

Is it legal to convict people without trial? That’s not the American way, Joe.
It’s hard to think of a more trumped-up charge than “administrative violations.” What, did they fail to sharpen their pencils to the required length?
The agents are unsurprisingly angry. According to Brandon Judd, President of the National Border Patrol Council, Fox News Digital:
What we’re seeing right now is the executive branch weaponizing the Office of Professional Responsibility to go after what President Biden perceives as political opponents. He doesn’t like the Border Patrol. The mission of Border Patrol has not been something he liked. Because he favors open-border activists, he now pursues these agents. This shouldn’t happen in our country.
He explained that punishment had been preordained by the second most powerful man on the planet.
The moment he made that statement, the moment he said that those agents would pay, the moment he convicted those agents without any evidence, without any investigation, there could be no doubt in anybody’s mind that these investigators were going to come back with some sort of charge against the agents.
They could not choose.
Kevin McCarthy, House Minority Leader was equally disgusted by the decision and spoke out to Daily Mail exclusively:
Border patrol agents deserve a president who will support them, not smear them — which is exactly what President Biden did when he promised, without knowing the facts, that agents would ‘pay’ for the false allegations of ‘whipping’ migrants.
Morale at the Border Patrol is already at “an all-time low,” with the prospect of this White House succeeding in ending Title 42, and this punitive move by an abusive administration is sure to further that trend. The Biden Administration is trying to make its own mistakes, but migrants are still exploding at the border.
CBP has reported unprecedented numbers of migrants encountered at the Southern border during May. This monthly record is now the largest in DHS History, surpassing the April record with 234,088.
Title 42 only allows for 100,699 expulsions (42%) @FoxNews— Bill Melugin (@BillFOXLA) June 16, 2022
Joe Biden’s border policies—like so many of his policies—are a complete and utter failure. It appears that he declared open war on his Border Patrol officers to divert attention from the fact that they were cleared of any wrongdoing and had already been cleared.
This is a clear and simple abuse of power.
