While Democrats aren’t able to manage their lives from a paper bag they can complain about.
Hulu, a Disney-backed streaming site, is being criticized for refusing to stream ads that promote Republican rhetoric. The Washington Post.
Hulu, which is an online video streaming service, plays movies and tv shows as well as original Hulu series. Hulu also features advertisements and commercials that are shown in between segments. These ads usually focus on lotions, new cars, or menu items for fast-food chains, but sometimes campaign ads will be run.
Hulu has a policy that prohibits ads on its platform that are “deemed controversial.” Supposedly the “Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee, Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee and Democratic Governors Association tried to purchase joint ads on abortion and guns on Hulu on July 15” and Hulu never ran the ads.
Hulu’s advertisement committee probably just didn’t want viewers grumpy at them if they were to show ads that leaned heavily on one side or the other for topics as hot button as abortion and guns.
Democrats, in their natural lefty style, threw a tantrum.
Noam Lee and Tim Persico, the executive directors of these three committees expressed anger to the Washington Post.
Hulu’s censorship of the truth is outrageous, offensive, and another step down a dangerous path for our country. Voters have the right to know the facts about MAGA Republicans’ agenda on issues like abortion — and Hulu is doing a huge disservice to the American people by blocking voters from learning the truth about the GOP record or denying these issues from even being discussed.
One she/her/hers blue check declared that Hulu was banning ads that talked about “reproductive rights.” Again I say, nobody has a “right” to abort an innocent child. You need to get that thought out of your mind.
Hey, @huluA large number of Americans support the right to abortion. It is controversial that you refuse to run ads about abortion rights. If you ban ads about reproductive rights, then this is a bad decision. https://t.co/2pkfTKNJgD

Senate Dems used their Twitter to call Hulu’s policies “shady” and deemed them “censorship.”
BREAKING: @Huluis REJECTING ads calling out GOP attacks gun safety and abortion access. Their corrupt policies amounts to outlandish political censorship.
Americans have a right to the truth and Hulu cannot block this. https://t.co/xEfpgASoBU

Matt McDermott a “Democratic pollster,” and Hillary, Harris, Biden AND Obama fan called Hulu’s decision an “absolute scandal” by censoring “Republican attacks.”

Good lord. These individuals need hobbies.
Hulu ran ads for Suraj Patel (a Democratic candidate) that featured images starting Jan. 6. Supposedly someone familiar with Hulu’s advertising policies said that Hulu “does not publicly disclose its advertising guidelines but that they prohibit advertising that takes a position on a controversial issue, regardless of whether it is a political ad. The ads are reviewed on a case-by-case basis, with edits sometimes recommended to the advertiser.”
Hulu could just keep the shampoo and hamburger ads on air. Chaos is sure to ensue, no matter how they decide to air it!
