Democrats Show How They Feel About Violence Against Pro-Life Organizations – Opinion

You shouldn’t be surprised that the House Democrats blocked a Republican resolution on Tuesday that would have called for a condemnation of violence perpetrated by pro-abortionists against prolife organizations. Apparently, the pro-abortion crowd isn’t even trying to hide their support for these acts anymore, which could create a more dangerous situation for volunteers working at these organizations.

After the Supreme Court’s eventual ruling to overturn Roe v. WadeIt was published in May and quickly became known that pro-abortion activists were planning to launch attacks on pro-life groups. They set fire to and vandalized churches, crisis pregnancy centers, and other groups. Jane’s Revenge, a newly-formed pro-abortion domestic terrorist group, claimed credit for many of the acts of violence, vowing to continue carrying them out until abortion was the law of the land once again.

In one instance, these thugs vandalized the offices of Wisconsin Family Action’s Madison office, hurling Molotov cocktails into the building. They scrawled graffiti on one of the walls that read: “If abortions aren’t safe, then you aren’t either.”

Since it was discovered that pro-life groups were vulnerable to vandalism and arson, more than 100 have occurred. RoeThis would be repealed. Rep. Mike Johnson (R.LA), introduced the resolution. This would have been an all-encompassing condemnation against violence and vandalism against prolife churches and nonprofits. After 219 Democrats voted down the measure, Johnson said their actions “emboldened” these people to continue targeting these organizations.

This vote follows a refusal by Nancy Pelosi (D-CA), House Speaker, to critique violence victims last month.

“This has gotten out of hand. Radical leftists were emboldened by the inaction of this body in the aftermath of the leaked opinion, and now they’ve targeted their violence against the very groups that care for women and their unborn children in their most vulnerable moments,” Johnson complained. “It’s unconscionable.”

From the very beginning, it was clear that Democrats didn’t want to be serious about the violence. After weeks of violence, the Justice Department issued a smug declaration that it would open an investigation. They have made no progress so far. It begs the question:

The sad part is that Johnson is right – Democrats’ refusal to take this violence seriously will only embolden those seeking to enforce their will through more terrorism. Interesting is the fact that every Democratic lawmaker would have supported this resolution if it had focused on those who bomb abortion clinics.

Of course, I’m not contending that a simple resolution would have put a stop to the firebombings. This shows that leaders of the Left support this type of behavior. This could lead to pro-abortionists focusing on actual people and not brick and mortar.
