Texas, Gov. Greg Abbott, Ted Cruz (R.TX), Don McLaughin, the Mayor of Uvalde joined together on Wednesday at a press conference to discuss the Uvalde mass shooting, give information and address the aftermath. But as we reported earlier, Beto O’Rourke crashed the press conference in a vile political stunt, went up to the stage, and began yelling at the people on the stage. O’Rourke is running for governor against Abbott.

Cameron Arcand, my colleague reported the following:
“Sit down, you’re out of line and an embarrassment. Sit down and don’t play this stunt,” Cruz said.
“Sir, your are not in the right place. Sir, you are out of line. Sir, your behavior is unacceptable. I can’t believe you’re a sick son of a bitch who would come to a deal like this to make a political issue,” McLaughlin said.
McLaughlin, the man who is holding on to a walking stick. He and police have dealt with so much horror, including the killings, and all of the people in the town who are now homeless, and then McLaughlin and his team have to confront such an act. Uvalde was going through a lot right now, so it was important to stay united and to keep our eyes on Uvalde, his family, and all the victims. On top of all the other things, some of these families had to deal this.
O’Rourke continued to yell outside the building to the media after he was ushered out. He seems to falsely say that people can get guns in Texas legally without a background check and that’s untrue. “The majority of Texas” isn’t reflected by those people around the table, he said. He interrupted the news conference and continued his attacks on the people dealing with this tragedy.

It’s about the kids, the families, the school, and the town; it isn’t about him or his politics.
But some on the left seemed to immediately celebrate such an act by O’Rourke.

It’s hard to imagine that anyone could put those two things together and suggest they are even close to the same thing. This is to remind you that O’Rourke, the man to the left, stood in the path of Communist Chinese tanks in an attempt to stop them killing more students at Tiananmen Square 1989. He also risked his life. The comparison is not only a bad comparison to the Texas officials — no, Greg Abbott is not a Communist dictator and unlike them, he doesn’t want to take your guns — it’s also incredibly wrong to compare O’Rourke to that brave “Tank Man” — we still don’t know if he survived after that, even now. This took great courage. It was the kind of thing that can leave you speechless. Meanwhile, Beto O’Rourke is running for governor and speaking to the press.
Abbott was also able to respond positively to Beto.
It’s vile that O’Rourke would do what he did, but it’s also vile of Democrats on top of that to act as though O’Rourke’s actions were something stunning and brave to lionize. And it’s not likely to go over well in Texas.
