CNN Whines: GOP Senators Weren’t Wearing Ties to Jackson Vote

Leftist media continue to whine about Judge Ketanji brown Jackson’s unfair treatment by Republican Senators even though she has been confirmed. They are even playing the race card in their attacks on the GOP, with CNN’s Lauran Coates suggesting that some Senators not wearing neckties to the vote was disrespectful to the first African American woman to be appointed to the Supreme Court.

CNN has just posted the latest loony comment on politics during Don Lemon TonightDon Lemon, the host brought up the topic of race and was moaned about how “it always strikes me when people say, well, why do you have to bring color into it? Because I’m a person of color, and that’s part of my experience.”

Lemon then admitted it’s possible he wouldn’t be on the air at CNN if he wasn’t black: “isn’t that part of the reason that I’m here is part of the diversity. This may not have any effect on what CNN airs. Sometimes it works. In any other job. But it certainly changes the conversation, right?” That’s quite the admission.

The CNN host, who is obsessed with race, continued his tirade by lamenting how many people think he’s racist. “shouldn’t be thinking about it because of her color or that sort of thing”Arguments that race is “what our law is about, as well. That’s what the country is about.”

“Red, white, and blue is the hallmark of the United States”Coates replied. “but so is black and brown” She added. Coates then proceeded to wail about the “indignity” Jackson had to endure:

It was an inhumane sight to see so many Congressmen leave the room just before the final vote. Some couldn’t even bother to make a tie, and had to vote in the cloakroom. Rand Paul in particular was one of those Senators that didn’t show up for voting until it seemed appropriate. This is an act of indignity, if you will. It makes me wonder if we’ll ever return to the same place, or if maybe there will be a day when our decorum is equal.

Coates didn’t mention which Senator or Senators committed the unforgivable sin of not wearing a tie. This is an aside, even though CNN finds it a trivial complaint. I have been reliably informed we aren’t allowed to comment on people’s appearances

Subaru and Carvana were able to make this CNN segment unhinged. The information they provide is linked.

CNN’s Don Lemon Tonight
4/7/2022
Eastern, 10:56 p.m.

DON LEMON – It is always a surprise to me when people wonder, “Why do you need to put color in it?” It’s because I am a person of colour and it’s part my life. That’s part of why I am here. Even if we air it on CNN, the result may not be affected. Sometimes it works. In any other job. It certainly alters the conversation. The room. It encourages people to consider things they have never thought about before. This is all that matters. It is a sign of true diversity. This is something that always struck me as strange, especially among Republicans. We need to talk, producers. People, particularly on the Republican side of the aisle, often say “maybe” because they don’t like her skin color. All of this is part of the process. It all comes down to lived experience. It’s about lived experiences. It’s the essence of our country.

LAUREN COATES : It is. Yes, red, white, blue and blue are hallmarks of the United States. But so is brown and black. The colors also have had an enormous impact on America’s history, both modern and past, all through our lives. To me it seems odd that we believe the only place where race is irrelevant in this country’s laws. This is not true, and I am here to inform you. Don, you’ll be glad to know that I am here to inform you. It’s likely that you saw it the same way. It was one thing to experience the humiliation of the confirmation hearing. The humiliation of seeing so many Congressmen walk out of the room as the final vote was being counted. It was the idea that not all members of Congress could be bothered to tie the vote and had to do so from a cloakroom. It is believed that Rand Paul was one of the Senators who didn’t bother to appear until he felt it was appropriate. It’s an indignity that continues and is a slap on the face. It makes me wonder if we’ll ever return to the same place, or if maybe there will be a day when our decorum is equal.

LEMON: They aren’t small, but that doesn’t make them any less important.
