CNN ObamaBots: Barack ‘Pivots’ to Fight Misinformation, NEVER Makes Up Fairy Tales

CNN found nothing funny about Jeffrey Goldberg and David Axelrod honoring Barack Obama at their conference “Disinformation & the Erosion Democracy”.

It happened during a week in which Obama was being honored for Obamacare. The liberals forgot that Obama won the PolitiFact “Lie of the Year 2013” award for his “If You Like Your Health Plan, You Can Keep it.”

Most often, “disinformation cops” and “fact-checkers” believe that all the dishonesty is coming from the right wing. Obama was shocked when PolitiFact awarded the “Lies of the Year” title to the Death panels (2009) and the Government Takeover of Health Care (2009).

CNN’s poorly disguised press release on Team Obama was written by Dan Merica, Donie O’Sullivan and headlined:

Obama’s struggle to counter disinformation: From ‘Birtherism to the Big Lie’

CNN began with the duo:

Former President Barack Obama is Immediately putting himself in the fight against disinformation taking a yearslong private fascination into the open as he makes addressing the issue a key pillar of his post-presidency.

The CNN team thinks Obama is uber-qualified because of the “infamous” birther theory promulgated by Evil Orange Man, and they aren’t going anywhere near Obama making up his own fairy tale in his memoir about staying in Hawaii with Daddy until he was two (he left with Mommy for the mainland soon after he was born). He was also a “composite boyfriend,” and he is the source of all disinformation.

This CNN press release is flawless. This CNN press release is just 1400 words. It contains no quotes from Obama critics and mentions nothing Obama said that was wrong. All the quotes in this piece are brought in by Eric Schultz (as adviser) to argue for Obama.

Eric Schultz was an Obama advisor who said that the ex-President views disinformation “as a through line for all the challenges we face right at the moment,” which includes the pandemic and climate change, as well as racism. Schultz said that Obama’s “arc of disinformation also tracks his public life.” While social media was instrumental in Obama’s election in 2008, misinformation spread across different platforms increased during Obama’s time in office.

Social media was loved by liberals almost as much as Obama. It helped Obama get elected. But when Obama’s critics started to attack it, the place became dangerous for spreading misinformation.

CNN uses anonymous sources in its vilification of Donald Trump. But, anonymous sources can be found for Obama, including this section that vouchs for his genius.

“He is a master of this world.”

Obama is now 60 years old and a gray-haired ex-politician. An outside advisor who worked in the technology industry. This is mainly because the ex-President was “naturally kind of geek.”

CNN’s adviser said that it wasn’t like the new concept is something you’ll never encounter on your lawn. “He knows this world.”
