CNN lumped America, Saudi Arabia and Iran in an unflattering display of the fact that liberal media doesn’t love the United States when it comes human rights abuses. These savage comparisons were made in an article by CNN. Neue DaySegment on the news: The US has decided to protest against Chinese human rights violations and will not send officials to the Chinese Olympics. However, American athletes will still be allowed to take part.
That led panelist Mara Schiavocampo to use “human rights” organizations on the left to smear the United States into a kinship with some of the world’s worst human-rights abusers:
“When we’re talking about the United States’ role in the global community, it’s worth noting there areA number of international organisations continue to criticize the United States for our human rights violations, such as the death penalty. This puts us alongside Saudi Arabian and Iranian, who have the highest rates of incarceration in the country. [sic, world?].
So, when we talk about our position on the global stage, “So I think. It is crucial to hold others accountable. It is important to direct that energy in protecting others. [sic] the United States’ human rights abuses is also important.”
Do you think CNN would oppose Timothy McVeigh’s execution for blowing up an entire government building? It is a platform for “human rights” to empty prisons.
CNN is a network, and there wasn’t any debate. John Berman was the co-host, and S.E. is the CNN commentator. Cupp just kept on going. Berman responded to Schiavocampo slur about the US “rightly”.
Cupp said defending America would put U.S. Olympians in a difficult situation. “When you’re openly vocal as a government about the host country’s human rights abuses, then of course the spotlight is going to be then on the athletes who go.”
None country can be perfect. To discuss American flaws in the same way as China, Iran, or Saudi Arabia is to be ungrateful and disrespectful.
Notable: Schiavocampo is a veteran of the MSM Block, having worked at ABC News and CBS News. Previous gigs include Current TV, Yahoo!!, NPR. Ebony Magazine, The Oprah Winfrey Show and The Dr. Oz ShowUptown.
Schiavocampo might be currently auditioning for a CNN slot. She is also a talented actress. Neue DayHer appearance was not only this morning but she also appeared on Brian Stelter’s CNN program yesterday. Schiavocampo’s anti-American photo this morning should fit the CNN suits to an T.
CNN lumping the US with China, Iran, and Saudi Arabia regarding human-rights abuses was sponsored in part by Liberty Mutual, Dell, Lincoln, VRBO, and Zales.

6:01 am ETJOHNBERMAN – A diplomat boycott has been announced for the Olympic games in China. CNN is told by sources that the Biden administration will announce this week that the United States will not send any officials to the Beijing Winter Olympics 2022. That’s just a couple of months from now. Without excluding athletes, the United States would be able to use this move to convey its concern about China’s violations of human rights to the rest of the world. CNN political commentator S.E. is joining me. Cupp is a journalist, host of Run Tell This podcast and Mara Schiavocompo.
. . .
Just so everyone knows, this goes back to the Peng Shuai issue. Peng is the missing tennis player, who then appears in the video. Maybe under duress. This has much more to do, Mara, with the treatment of the Uighers, the Muslim minority, which some people call a genocide, flat out.
MARIA SCHIAVOCAMPO: Yeah, so the issues that the United States are calling to be addressed are incredibly significant, and it’s important for them to be addressed. One thing I like is that the United States is holding other countries responsible for their human rights problems.
But, I think: when we’re talking about the context of the Olympics especially, it’s important to keep in mind that one of the most important, one of the most famous, Olympic protests in history was Tommy Smith and John Carlos with that black fist1968, in the air
So when we’re talking about the United States’ role in the global community, it’s worth notingMany international organizations continue to condemn the United States’ human rights abuses. These include the death penalty. We are now in the same group as Saudi Arabia and Iran who have the highest rates of incarceration in America. [sic, world?].
If we are talking about our position on the international stage, Holding others responsible is vital. It is important to direct that energy in protecting others. [sic] the United States’ human rights abuses is also important.
BERMAN: Right.China will unequivocally say it. You will be told to clean up your house before telling us how we should conduct our internal politics. That, in fact, is part of their statement: don’t meddle in our internal politics there.
China is keen to see this event go ahead without any difficulties. There is now a significant hitch. Now, the focus will be on athletes’ reactions when they win medals. Are they going to protest? It’s a fair question.
S.E. S.E. AndIt puts them on the spot. We saw it at the Olympics. When you’re openly vocal as a government about the host country’s human rights abuses, then of course the spotlight is going to be then on the athletes who go.
AlsoThey will have to discuss not just what China did, but also what the U.S. did. You might be able to defend those. And I don’t, I’m not sure that’s why a lot of athletes get into the business of being athletes.
