Joe Biden, Pope Francis are both victims of the slanderous attacks made by conservatives. They are “solidarity” because they have been “maligned by” neoconservative “factions.
CNN’s religious commentator Father Edward Beck believed this view on Monday morning’s CNN Breakfast.A New DayCommenting on Biden’s Vatican visit. Consider Beck’s word choice: “maligned”—meaning defamed, slandered or libeled. Beck eliminated any possibility of there being valid criticisms directed at the men by the conservative “factions.”
Criticisms of Pope Francis will be left to the theologians. Beck might grant Biden a secular dispensation, which could be described as a grace period for all his failings, from Afghanistan to the border to inflation. Criticism of Biden in these areas is nothing but libel.
Beck participated in a live panel at the Vatican hosted by Chris Cuomo. The CNN anchor claimed that Biden was so clearly false that it made you wonder if Cuomo thought he could make it go away.
Cuomo stated that Trump had changed his position on moral questions “to help him,” but Cuomo disagreed. “That has never been the Biden we know or were.”
Biden has not changed his view on moral issues “to help him?” Is Cuomo not able to recall 2019 when, in order to help himself, Biden famously flipped on the Hyde Amendment which prohibits federal funding for abortions.
Biden is the man who As a senator, a constituent wrote him a letter boasting that he had voted “50” for the Hyde Amendment.However, his support of the Hyde Amendment was politically unfeasible. Biden suddenly declared opposition to the Amendment and quickly flipped.
In the same letter you will find: Biden stated that he has “strong convictions about abortion.” In subsequent years, these “convictions” were not only forgotten but also lost. Biden is now openly supporting abortion.
Cuomo began his invidious comparison between Trump and Biden with the boast that “I don’t” accept at face value claims by politicians of being religiously devout.

CUOMO – Father Beck is well aware that politics often exclude religion from the discussion. It doesn’t matter if somebody claims they are devout. It’s not true. Trump used it to disguise his true intentions. Trump changed his views on morality. or immoral to help himself. This has never been the Biden we know.
