CensorTrack with TR: YouTube Hides Youth Lecture Against Socialism

It’s Episode Sixteen of MRC’s newest video series, Track TR with CensorTrack This week we’re talking about how Big Tech censored a video lecture about the evils of socialism. 

The Young America’s Foundation (YAF) “is committed to ensuring that increasing numbers of young Americans understand and are inspired by the ideas of individual freedom, a strong national defense, free enterprise, and traditional values.” YAF released a video lecture on Dec. 4 titled “The Victims of Socialism.”  Retired Chief Financial Officer for a healthcare learning facility, Unitek Learning, George Harbison, gave the lecture to a group of young learners at a YAF seminar. 

This lecture covered basic concepts of socialism as well as the history of its victims. It served as a warning for young people to avoid socialst behavior and patterns so history doesn’t repeat itself. Though the video was given by an educated professional, YouTube told YAF that the video “may not be suitable for viewers under the age of 18” and placed an age restriction on it. 

You will need to log in to see the video and go through two warnings. 

YouTube, surprisingly enough allows transgenderism videos and BLM propaganda to be uploaded without age restrictions. It seems that some people are not able to understand the dangers of socialism. 

YAF spokeswoman Kara Zupkus told MRC Free Speech America that YAF has appealed YouTube’s decision. Zupkus said, “The point of such a powerful video is to awaken the next generation in ensuring that socialism never takes hold in America,” which is a necessary lesson for young people today, especially given the socialist patterns revealing themselves in America.
