CensorTrack with TR: Big Tech Attacks MRC TikTok 16 Times!

It’s Episode 26 of Track TR with CensorTrack. We discussed this week how TikTok, a Chinese Communist Party app that is affiliated with the Communist Party of China has launched a censorship campaign against the Media Research Center. 

February 26, 2021 was the date of the first MRC TikTok TikTok video. It features original content and NewsBusters Highlights, as well as popular videos. It has attracted over 67,000 fans and been liked by 789.400 people. Big Tech has blocked the account sixteen times since it was first created. 13 of these instances occurred in the past two months. 

TikTok took down MRC’s video repost where a CNN reporter claimed that the Taliban “seem friendly” while “chanting death to America” when they overtook Afghanistan. TikTok also blocked CensorTrackTo be notified about TR episodes. It’s ironic.

TikTok deleted a video of MRCTV Managing editor Brittany HughesThere are many other things to consider. Reality CheckShe also discussed her hypocrisy in requiring vaccination passports in order to enter buildings and not requiring ID for voting. TikTok also removed an episode of MRCTV and MRC Culture Director Eric Scheiner’s Wacky Mole show. Scheiner spoke out about rising U.S. inflation. 

MRC has appealed its TikTok violations, and three videos remain banned from the site for various “Community Guideline Violation[s].” TikTok has also placed 24-hour “blocked from posting” restrictions on the MRC account. 

CBS News reports that TikTok is world’s most-used app. This app allows you to reach large audiences and especially the younger generation of TikTok users. Censoring MRC’s informative videos is not only an attack against our organization’s free speech, but it is also censoring the young, impressionable audiences on TikTok that wish to watch and discuss conservative content.
