Carmen Maria Montiel, a journalist and former candidate for beauty pageant, is running against Shelia Jackson Lee (D–Dimwit), to her Texas District 18 seat. Redistricting has changed the demographics. Montiel now has an edge in this area of Texas because it is Hispanic.
Jackson Lee is also a horrible representative and a worse person (see Townhall article on what kind of boss she was). With the wind of change favoring Republicans, it could be this year that Texans have a new representative.
The Texas primary is today, so if you haven’t already—get out there and vote!
Carmen Maria Montiel was at CPAC when I met her to discuss her platform, and how she plans to contribute to the rebuilding of TX-18 as well as America.
