It is probably safe to say, after nearly 2 weeks of viewing and reading, that I am satisfied with the results. LOTCanadian materials on the latest happenings with Canada’s friendly neighbor to the north.
Other than curling. While I’m sure Canadians are passionate about ice sports and curling, that one escapes me.
Red State pages are a great place to start if you’re a regular reader. You will have seen all the details about Canada’s Truckers protest, and Justin Trudeau’s absolutely terrible response. A conspiracy theorist like me would believe that President Biden is working with the Trudeau government, which would be a explanation for many other things.
These articles have been written by me and give you a glimpse of the most recent news.

The post above sets up why I’m writing this article today…
Erin O’Toole was ousted from the party’s top job, leaving his former deputy Candice Bergen to helm a divided caucus until its members elect a new leader with a new direction.
The Manitoba MP, who served as a minister of state in former prime minister Stephen Harper’s Conservative government, was chosen by her colleagues Wednesday evening.
Bergen, who was deputy leader of the Conservatives under O’Toole, has represented the riding of Portage–Lisgar since 2008 and was Opposition House leader from 2016 to 2020.
After losing the 2015 election to the Liberals, Stephen Harper was elected former prime Minister. This is the third time that this race will take place for leadership.
Scott Reid (Conservative MP) says Bergen was one the nine interim leaders.
Erin O’Toole was the leader of the Conservative Party which was defeated by the coalition that backed Justin Trudeau in the national election last September. Trudeau and his Liberal Party did not win enough seats to be the majority outright in the Parliament but formed a coalition government to retain the Prime Minister’s chair again.
Pierre Poilievre, who is the leader of Trudeau’s main opposition party has now entered the fray to win the seat. He has been a member of Canada’s Parliament since 2004, and held various positions in cabinet before Trudeau took over as leader.
You can find his tweet here.

These are just a few observations.
In this two-minute video, Poilievre touches on many issues and it is very comparable to the problems we face here in America. While the government spends too much, hardworking citizens are being targeted by the criminal element that is allowed to wreck havoc.
He hits a gold mine of a point that both our countries share halfway through the video…
See here is the problem, Trudeau thinks he is your boss, and he has got it backwards, you’re the boss. That is why I’m running for Prime Minister, to put you back in charge of your life.
Over the last two years, both our countries have been afflicted by those in government that seem to believe they can dictate how your daily life should look and how you should behave from the moment you take your first breath to the end of your life.
They are wrong.
Poilievre goes on to talk about restoring freedom in a number of ways and mentions that “Smaller government makes room for bigger citizens,” which seems to be spot on.
It has been clear that Canada’s neighbors have many brave and big citizens willing to push for smaller governments. One that does not dictate for dictates’ sake in Ottawa and that never takes into account the repercussions of their actions.
The same problem exists in Washington D.C., and people from the north show us how to solve it in an inspiring way. I’m sure there will be others to throw their hat into the ring to lead the conservative party but this is a very interesting start and I look forward to seeing how this ends up.
We hope Justin Trudeau is removed from office soon.
While I wait, I’ll try to figure out what curling looks like. Maybe I’ll try it.
