Border Patrol Has Already Picked Up 1 Million Illegals in 2022 — the Question Is, What Now? – Opinion

In this episode of “The Never-Ending Biden Border Crisis”…

A source from U.S. Customs and Border Protection claims that Border Patrol agents had already arrested more than one million illegal immigrants in the Southwest sectors of Fiscal Year 2022. Breitbart News was informed by a source that the benchmark was reached Thursday. Shocked? Me, neither. (Emphasis, mine):

According to the source, almost 8,000 migrants were captured on Wednesday. They broke the previous single-day record at the southwest border for encounters with migrants. Nearly 7 out of 10 immigrants apprehended from October 1 to date are single adultsThe source says so.

The source claims that the agency was confronted by large groups of migrants, some exceeding 200 people on multiple occasions over the last week. One group of 187 crossed Rio Grande at Eagle Pass on Sunday. Rapidly surrendered.

Were they wearing “Biden, Please Let Us In!” T-shirts? Anyway, assuming that’s the “good news,” the bad news is, so what? What happened to those more than one million illegals — and others before them? What will happen next? We’ll get there in a minute.

No one who pays any amount of attention to the continuing Biden Border Crisis™ should be surprised in the least by the above numbers. As RedState reported in late March, Border Patrol chief Raul Ortiz told CNN his agency is ramping up to apprehend as many as 8,000 illegals daily — Mehr than twoThe daily increase in illegal immigrants under Trump’s administration. Border Patrol may have apprehended as many as 8,000 illegals every day at times, but this is not the normal number. Until now.

CNN “New Day” co-anchor Briana Keilar reacted to the numbers in typical form: “That’s a huge number!” Yes, Brianna, it is a huge number. You can now get back to spinning out the border crisis.

Then, what happens? Now, what? AfterWhat are your fears?

Here’s more via Breitbart:

Source:Limited removal options have led to large numbers of migrants being released.. The Only significant tool is Trump era emergency Title 42 COVID-19 CDC ordersThis could be used to quickly and efficiently expel migrants from Mexico, Guatemala or Honduras with very little administrative processing.

“Shockingly,” as reported by Fox News, the Biden administration on Friday announced it will be terminating the Title 42 public health policy at the end of May — despite continuing warnings of massive illegal border crossings in the coming months. Since the outbreak of COVID-19, both Trump and Biden have utilized the Title 42 policy to swiftly expel illegal immigrant. It is so convenient to dump it now.

Another growing problem is the number of “migrants” from Cuba. In February, roughly 16,550 Cubans were apprehended along the southwest border — a spike of more than 300 percent, compared to February 2021. According to the Remain in Mexico program, less than 100 of the 16550 Cubans who were arrested in February were expelled from the country.

As those interested in such things — that should be We are all — might recall, Biden formally ended the Remain in Mexico program in June 2021, after suspending it earlier in the year. Under court order, the administration reimposed the program in January 2022, with “new protocols.”

As reported by The Washington Post in February 2022, the Biden version of “Remain in Mexico” bears little resemblance to the Trump version.

Biden made the biggest distinction in terms of scale and returns. His administration was ordered to restore MPP “in good faith,” but the court did not set quotas.

According to U.N. statistics, the Department of Homeland Security sent about 410 MPP enrollmentes back to date. This is equivalent to approximately seven people per day crossing the border. In comparison, 300-400 were returned each day in summer 2019.

Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton (R), whose lawsuit forced Biden to restart MPP, called the low numbers “outrageous” in a late-January tweet.

Outrageous. A win in the district courts compels Biden reimplement Remain in-Mexico. When the feds appealed, I again won. Biden must use MPP in order to return illegals to Mexico. He’s violating the Court’s order, and I won’t let it stand.

It not only still stands; it’s literally getting worse by the day and is going to continue to do so.

Let’s be frank. Since then, the fix was in Before Day OneBiden government. Biden ran on it. Other than handing voter ID cards — no pictures, of course — to illegals as they continue to stream across the border, there’s not a whole lot more the White House could do, as it continues its efforts to permanently change the demographics of America.

As reported by the Center for Immigration Studies in July 2021 — just six months into the Biden presidency — there was a huge decline in the percentage of illegals ordered deported in Fiscal Year 2021. In comparison, only 72.2 per cent of all outcomes for FY 2019 were removal orders. Only 27.8 per cent of results allowed an alien to stay. None of this should come as a surprise to anyone who has followed the Biden administration’s implementation of its anti-enforcement crusade.

This was back then.

In late January we reported that illegal border crossings will surpass all time records for 2022.
