Twitter is scathing about a new President Biden statement on COVID spreading.
Biden had earlier in the week defended the enactment of vaccine mandates, arguing that patients who visit the hospital to receive treatment shouldn’t be at risk from COVID-19.
Biden stated, “We are making sure that healthcare workers get vaccinated. If you go to a hospital for care, then you need the assurance that those providing the care will not spread COVID.” said
However, this statement is inconsistent with the CDC’s recent narrative that vaccinated individuals can still spread COVIDIt is. Despite the apparent “misinformation,” Twitter did not flag the statement as such.
“This is misinformation @Twitter. All of us know that COVID is spreading from vaccinated people. Keep that in mind. That’s why they have to wear masks too!” journalist Megan Fox tweeted
“Correct me if I’m wrong but I was led to believe that the vaccination didn’t prevent you from getting covid or spreading it,” one user tweetedIt is possible to. “It just reduced the intensity of the symptoms if you were infected”
“But vaccinated people still have to wear masks (unless you’re a Democrat politician or celebrity) because….” another user added.
As of Saturday afternoon, the White House has not issued a statement to clarify the president’s comments.
