Biden’s Destruction of the American Economy Continues to Sink His Popularity According to New Poll – Opinion

Try as they might, the Democrats can’t seem to staunch the blood loss, especially when the Biden administration continues to do its best to keep the wound open. Even with all the king’s horses and all the king’s men trying to make abortion the primary issue of 2022, the plunging economy continues to be the main thing on the minds of Americans, and they know exactly who to blame for it.

According to a new Monmouth University poll released Thursday, President Joe Biden’s popularity dropped again by a single point to 38 percent, but his disapproval rating shot up three points to 57 percent. 18 percent believe the nation is on the correct track, whereas only 18% think so. For an indication of the extent of this decline, in January 2021 42 percent of Americans stated that the country was moving in the correct direction.

This is a trend that hasn’t shown any sign of stopping. Moreover, the month isn’t even done yet.

One thing does seem to speak in favor of the Democrat Party and it’s the fact that abortion has rocketed up to be an issue of importance for voters to 25 percent, sitting one point beneath the economy, currently the most important issue for voters at 26 percent.

While this may sound worrying, there’s a lot more nuance to these numbers than is presented here.

RedState has reported previously that one in five voters believes abortion is the primary factor in choosing a candidate. But, only 16% are ready to go as extreme with the restrictions, which includes no restriction on abortion until birth.

Eighty-five percent of voters want abortion restrictions, even if they don’t want it fully illegalized. It is bad news for Democrats, who now appear to be pushing for abortions without restrictions as of Wednesday’s Senate vote. West Virginia Senator Joe Manchin was the only exception. As more news comes out, these numbers could change.

It’s pretty clear that Democrats are in trouble as midterms approach ever closer. Their total lean into abortion is a gambit that isn’t fully paying off, and in many cases, is dragging them down even further. Moreover, it’s not something that every American is going to be affected by while the economy absolutely is.

Biden, Democrats and others have not presented any real solutions to the economic crisis and have instead tried to put the blame on Republicans and Putin. While it may have some effect on Biden’s loyal base, it’s not exactly being bought as well as Democrats would hope, which continues to be a theme for them.
