Whenever I look at a poll regarding Joe Biden, I keep saying he has to hit a bottom — that he can’t just keep going lower, can he? But he continues to do things to make it worse, and so, his poll ratings keep dropping. He’s already lower than all modern presidents who held the office.
When I was covering the ABC/Ipsos poll last week, his approval of inflation and the rise in gas prices was high. His disapproval level was higher than 70 percent. It’s hard to get much worse than that. This was very similar to the CNN poll that had Biden at the 20s in its approval.
But, when you have those kind of numbers, it means you’re losing people across the board.
In the new Quinnipiac poll, he’s hit the lowest number ever, once again — 33 percent approval.
But worse than that, he’s taken a huge hit among voters where Democrats have historically had much higher numbers such as African Americans (under 50 percent), Hispanics (24 percent), and young voters 18-34 (22 percent).
Wow. According to a Quinnipiac survey, Biden’s approval ratings are below 50% among Black voters. 24% among Hispanics, 22% among 18-34 yr olds. His approval is dominated by Dems and college educated whites. pic.twitter.com/voembPdHP4

Those numbers are a death knell for Democrats, I don’t know that any recent Democrat has had lower numbers with those important constituencies.
🚨NEW POLL🚨
A new Quinnipiac poll shows that Republicans outnumber Democrats 3 to 1 among HISPANICS. It was between 41% and 38% in the 2022 Quinnipiac election ballot. It’s important to take this with a grain, however it isn’t the first time that we have seen it.

That’s a huge movement toward Republicans, if half are preferring Republicans.
In new Zogby polls, he’s also lost a lot of ground with young people, suburbanites, women, minorities (especially Hispanics), and union members. I’m not sure who is left after that for Democrats. Biden has a Hispanic disapproval rate of 45 percent and an approval rating of 44 percent, respectively. What is the reason? Only 27 percent believe the country is moving in the right direction.
Morning Consult poll results show that his approval rating is at its lowest level ever. At this point, it’s worse than President Donald Trump’s, with a 12-point net difference.

Trump’s presidency was at the same time markedly popular.
This is the time to approve a job in an office

Trump: 52% approve and 45% disapprove✅ Net Difference: Trump + 12%https://t.co/5aSsrNVPJO

If we wanted a metaphor for Joe Biden, however, it was provided by him again. He managed to climb the steps to Air Force One Wednesday.

That’s a reminder of the time he tripped/fell three times going up the same steps back near the start of his term in 2021. Even his head appeared to have been thrown onto the side of the staircase.

He’s had gait issues in the past, which could account for more problems walking up stairs and having to lift his feet.
When you don’t have a solid base, you tend to fall. That’s the problem that Biden has now–he’s even lost that base and that’s going to upend him and Democrats in November.
