Biden Announces His Supreme Court Pick, and Lindsey Graham Is Mad – Opinion

Joe Biden has moved left once more. Who was the one who said that this man was moderate?

We’d been told that among his final choices for his SCOTUS nominee were Kentanji Brown Jackson and Michelle Childs. Rep. Jim Clyburn, a Democratic senator from South Carolina, was heavily advocating for Childs. Childs was also the person who seemed to enjoy the greatest bipartisan support. Sen. Lindsey Graham, a Republican senator from South Carolina, and Senator Tim Scott have both praised her.

It would seem that Childs is the best choice. It was not clear that they were going to do so. She apparently wasn’t left enough for the folks behind the throne, deciding on the pick, and Biden is going to throw his benefactor under the bus.

Biden tweeted that he nominated Ketanji Brown Jones as his Supreme Court nominee.

Jackson serves currently on the Court of Appeals of the D.C. Circuit. Biden had called and offered her the nomination. She accepted it on Thursday.

Jackson clerked for Breyer and served as a federal public defender in Washington — an experience that her backers say is fitting, given Biden’s commitment to putting more public defenders on the federal bench. As an Obama appointee, she was also a Commissioner on the US Sentencing Commission. She served as a federal court judge in DC before Biden promoted her to the DC Circuit.

Her appointment would make her the first African-American woman to sit on the court. Biden stated that he will only consider black women for this position. It remains to be determined how liberal Biden would be if she is confirmed. Given how far left Biden has been in his moves so far, I’m guessing that’s very liberal.

Are they sure she will get the votes? While they can confirm her with 50 votes each, will they be able to get any Republican votes for her? Sens. Sens. Graham was already insane that Childs was thrown under the bus.

He made reference to the fact that they’re continuing to pick elites from the Ivy League, something which Childs would have broken, since she went to Duke School of Law.

We likely wouldn’t hear the anger publicly from Jim Clyburn, but it has to be massive at this point. They seem to have succeeded in their goal of knocking out Childs.
