Current border crisis is a result of illegal immigration continuing to set new records. From the harm done to American citizens to the humanitarian disaster affecting the illegal immigrants themselves, it’s hard to imagine how things could get worse.
The Biden administration is trying to increase what has become an extremely out-of-control situation. Title 42 (the provision that permits deportation on the basis of the current pandemic) was to be repealed on Monday May 23rd with further border crossings.
This catastrophe was fortunately avoided, at least temporarily. A federal judge granted a preliminary injunction on Friday blocking the Biden administration’s move, which means Title 42 will stay in place for now.

It’s insane that the administration is even attempting to lift the provision, given how dire things are. Border Patrol has become completely overwhelmed, and is now largely ineffective due to policy decisions. States and cities that are most directly affected by this situation, such as. The border states and cities most affected, i.e. The federal facilities have become a hellhole because they are overloaded. Further, the government has the ability to keep Title 42 in place as long as they wish, especially since COVID-19 infections remain a factor, at least by the administration’s own narrative.
Biden’s handlers and he would like to add fuel to an already fiery inferno. It’s inexplicable–unless you assume they want to destroy the nation’s borders and institutions. That’s probably a good assumption at this point.
Title 42 may be in place but that shouldn’t mean it is a defeat. As Fox News’ Bill Melugin notes, the explosion in numbers is still completely unworkable.

There’s a long way to go yet in this fight, and the administration seems intent on causing a complete collapse at the border. Title 42 remains in effect, which is good news even though it doesn’t prevent things from getting more dire. The next step is making Democrats pay at the ballot box for what they’ve done and continue to do.
