Beto O’Rourke Goes Full Terry McAuliffe and Demolishes His Own Campaign – Opinion

Do you remember Terry McAuliffe’s campaign to become Virginia Democratic Governor-Electrician? He claimed that parents should not be able to dictate what education is given in elementary school classrooms. Well, it appears Robert Francis “Beto” O’Rourke, who is running for Texas governor, made the same blunder.

Before, his chances of winning the election were low. McAuliffe is now more likely to have his support than McAuliffe’s belief that children should be governed by the state and not their parents.

On Wednesday, footage of O’Rourke, an Irishman who pretends to be Hispanic to get votes, surfaced on social media in which he lashed out at those who oppose ideas inspired by critical race theory (CRT) being taught in K-12 schools. O’Rourke argued that teachers should be allowed to choose what to teach.

“We don’t need to tell [a teacher]What version of history is she allowed to share in class? We don’t need to scare the parents of those kids… about something called CRT (critical race theory) that I’ve never heard of before last year,” O’Rourke said.

In a comment released to Fox News Digital, the Irishman’s campaign said: “As governor, Beto will fully fund our Texas schools and fully support Texas students, parents, and teachers after years of Greg Abbott underfunding our classrooms and calling for defunding public education.”

The campaign added: “Beto does not say ‘parents’ shouldn’t tell schools what to teach.”

Skippy did a great job.

If Beto wasn’t talking about parents, who was he talking about? To protest the inclusion of progressive ideas about race in school classrooms, who were they? Which groups oppose these teachings and are they being challenged? Are Moms For Liberty or Moms For America names like parents?

The Irishman was clearly referring to parents and others concerned about what small children are learning when they go to school – he’s just not as honest about it as McAuliffe was. This is the way progressive statists think. These progressive statists believe that government-run schools should hold full control over what ideas are used to influence kids. It is no surprise that they feel so upset by the idea of parents having a say over what children are taught.
