New York Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s office just released a statement saying that she has tested positive for COVID, is experiencing symptoms, and is quarantined at home.

According to AOC’s office, AOC has been vaccinated. She also received a booster shot in the fall. According to her office, she encouraged all people to have a booster shot and adhere strictly with CDC guidelines.
She was also seen in Florida on a trip, partying in public without wearing a mask, hugging others, and eating at a Miami Beach sushi restaurant without using a mask.
It was a success! Our team saw the amazing! @AOC at drag brunch!

AOC accused Republicans of criticizing her sexual obsession with her and of wanting to be with her.
She donned the mask when she came back to New York about five days ago and attacked Republicans in a weird rant about her boyfriend’s feet.

It seemed sort of silly, given how she had just been partying down in Florida, but then again, it’s New York, land of the COVID restrictions. Clearly, she didn’t wear the mask because she thought it would be protective; otherwise, she would have worn it in Florida, regardless of whatever the rules in Florida were.
It is unclear how she will make the situation go away. Ron DeSantis’ fault? Because you know that’s coming in some way.
But the bottom line is that this once again puts paid to Joe Biden’s lie that this is the “pandemic of the unvaccinated.” Oh, please, just stop; this was always a lie, it’s just more obvious now that all the “good people” (translate: pontificating liberals) are getting it all over the place, too.
It’s a virus. A virus doesn’t hit people because of whatever twisted sense of morality any political party is pushing — it hits anyone and everyone it can, including the vaccinated. If you think that you’re morally superior than someone unvaccinated, you don’t have the right to be vaccinated. You can get it, too. And when there is a surge of Omicron going on, maybe a packed drag brunch where you’re hugging people isn’t the best idea? This is not the CDC’s guidance regarding social distancing. While people are focused on her Florida visit, they should also note her state/city is growing with cases with higher numbers than Florida. So she could have got it there.
