An Illegal Immigrant Murdered His Three Children and California’s Sanctuary State Has Blood on Its Hands – Opinion

Californians will be mourning three tragically murdered children this weekend by their father.

David Mora Rojas (39 years old) shot his daughters and the court-appointed guardian in Sacramento Church, where they had planned a visitation. Then he shot himself.

A restraining order was issued to the shooter by his ex-wife over claims of domestic abuse.

KTVU news:

Sacramento County Coroner’s Office identified the suspect as David Mora Rojas, 39. Samantha Mora Gutierrez (10 years old), Samarah Mora Gutierrez (9 years old), Samia Mora Gutierrez (13 and Nathaniel Kong (59) were identified as the victims.

Samantha would have been 11 years old on Wednesday. Samantha would have been 11 on Wednesday. The mother wasn’t there when the shooting took place and was alerted.

Mora Rojas wasn’t supposed to be here at all, making the shocking murder-suicide even more tragic. In 2018, the Mexican-born native overstayed his visa. Since that time, he’d been arrested for assaulting an officer, domestic violence, DUI, and assaulting medical staff as recently as February. Although he should have been charged with any of the above, he was not allowed to leave California because it is a sanctuary country. This means that illegal aliens cannot be brought before federal immigration authorities even if they do heinous crime. The police officer attacked him and he was just released. The Merced County Sheriff’s Office confirmed that because of the sanctuary state laws, they were not allowed to alert federal immigration authorities (ICE) of Mora Rojas’ latest arrest and release. His three daughters, along with their court-appointed social workers, were killed days later.

California’s sanctuary state laws and California city laws have contributed to many preventable deaths involving illegal immigrant crime.

After being released from New Jersey’s jail for domestic violence charges, Luis Rodrigo Perez was convicted of murdering three individuals in 2018. ICE was prohibited from interfering under sanctuary laws.

Jose Omar Bello Reyes murdered a California man in 2021, but had an extensive record of entanglement with law enforcement and had been shielded by California’s sanctuary laws for years.

Then there’s Mollie Tibbetts (a college student from Iowa), who was attacked and killed by an undocumented immigrant while she was running one morning. Iowa doesn’t have an official sanctuary city, but this shocking crime sparked discussion on lax immigration enforcement and how it affects innocent Americans.

Many pro-sanctuary people will argue that America has plenty of our own crimes and criminals, and committing a crime has nothing to do with being an illegal immigrant, so the two violations – crime and illegal immigration – should remain separate. But that’s actually the reason we should be doubling down on immigration enforcement. It’s enough to deal with our own criminals on a day-to-day basis. We certainly don’t need to be importing anymore. It is difficult to keep up with what we already have.

These are all the same people who use a tragic school shooting to scream about new gun laws because we need a “prevention” strategy for insane people who think it’s okay to murder their classmates, but they have no interest in prevention laws when it comes the potential for illegals to commit horrific acts of violence on American soil.

There is nothing worse than seeing your three children murdered by their father alongside an innocent social worker.

Shame on all politicians and voters who support sanctuary laws. They all have blood on their faces.
