Conservative radio host Alex Jones was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated early Tuesday morning.
Jones, 46, was booked into the Travis County jail in Texas, NBC affiliate KXAN-TV reported.
The controversial conspiracy promoter and dissident icon was released on bond later Tuesday, authorities said.
His bail had been set at $3,000.

Jones’ arrest was addressed on Infowars, the news site he founded and where he serves as publisher.
According to Infowars, Jones blew “less than a 0.08 – the legal limit in Texas for DWI – which in itself is an incredibly low threshold.”
