Abortion Activist Retreats to the Top of a Now-Closed Bridge to Reroute the Nation’s Future – Opinion

Friday’s SCOTUS decision to overturn Roe. v. WadeIt has caused shockwaves all across the nation. It even propelled one man to the top of a bridge in District of Columbia.

Guido Reichstadter has a history of putting himself in unusual places. Earlier this month, he became convinced he should be beyond barricades and chained to a fence — just outside the Supreme Court. As the media watched, he attempted to smash his key that would open his bike lock.

Guido had evidently realized he would change the nation’s future by shackling his neck to an opaque, X-patterned metal. “I am not letting my daughter’s rights be taken away by this unelected, unaccountable Supreme Court,” he shouted triumphantly.

He later realized that the effort had failed. He concluded that more alternative means would bring him success.

From Fox News:

A man climbed the Frederick Douglass Memorial Bridge in Washington, D.C. on Friday to protest the Supreme Court’s decision overturning Roe v. Wade.

According to FOX 5, DC, the man was identified on Twitter as Guido Reichstadter and began climbing up the bridge around 11 AM. The man was not visible on the bridge and traffic was stopped as officials attempted to get in touch with him.

Guido calls for America to continue shutting down its government tweetedWhile higher than the birds’:

The Daily Wire reported that a journalist messaged The Daily Wire to the world-changer while he drifted 70 feet up in the air.

He shared his calculations:

“I found a way up, I’ll find one down, I guess…”

There’s clearly always a way down, but it may not be a route worth pursuing. Guido’s rescue was possible because the government that he was trying to close remained open. A large balloon was placed by authorities below around noon.

Although he may not have destroyed the government completely, he did close off an important road.

It was made official by DDOT:

District Department of Transportation (DDOT), has announced that Frederick Douglas Memorial Bridge (FDMB), is currently closed. It is necessary to address safety concerns related to protest activity. The shutdown will not be lifted until further notice. Motorists are encouraged to make plans for the afternoon commute, and consider alternate routes that do not cross the South Capital Street or the FDMB. On the ground, traffic enforcement officers direct traffic. Drivers who travel within the FDMB area should exercise extra caution and anticipate delays.

On Instagram, Guido announced he’d remain in the air for “as long as [he] physically can.”

In the arena of “If-then” computation, an elect of activists serve as America’s mystics. These mystics can discern miraculous methods of altering the universe through seemingly cosmic means.

James Cromwell was nominated for Oscar. It was revealed recently that fake milk could be made available to blacks if he stuck his nose in a Starbucks.

It seems that bridges can be used for supernatural purposes. In 2019, spellbinders at Houston’s Fred Hartman Bridge divined they’d save the planet by dangling as enchanted dingleberries:

Hopefully for bridge-toppling Guido, at the summit of his power, he’ll make true celestial contact. Explaining his ascent, he texted, “Getting closer to God.”

Be careful up there, sir, or you’ll end up a lot closer to Him than you’d planned.

At 7:45 p.m. ET, the Great Guido seemed to be still bridging us into the future.
