ABC Panelist Compares Biden to Reagan in Deranged Rant

The left knows they are failing to defend President Biden and start to compare him with Ronald Reagan. NPR’s Michele Martin was exactly that on Sunday’s edition of This Week.

During This WeekThe panelists discussed Biden’s first year as president and the future of the presidency in Powerhouse Roundtable discussions. Fill-in host Martha Raddatz raised the issue of Biden’s declining approval ratings with Michel Martin on NPR. She had the nerve to make a comparison between Biden and Reagan.

In the sense of facing difficult economic times, Joe Biden and Ronald Reagan share some similarities. They are seen as individuals who care about the nation’s interests, even though not everyone agrees with them.

Martin brought up Reagan’s approval ratings, and tried to compare them with Joe Biden’s numbers in his first year of claiming. “Ronald Reagan’s approval scores, of course there was the terrible accident you know about where he got shot in his first terms, which sent the country into as one would expect, a collective concern regarding his well-being. But his approval ratings in his second term were in the fortys.”

Problem with the analogy? Ronald Reagan was not surrounded by liberal networks like ABC, cheering him on or making excuses. Reagan was in constant disrepute during his tenure. Even after his death, the media told lies about him.

Martin continued his rant and returned to the subject that has been his favorite topic of late, “voting rights”. Martin said that the Republican voting integrity bills passed by Republican states had “no factual foundation”, which Martin says “makes them conservative”. The left-wing NPR host then questioned whether Republican legislators are passing these bills based on “The feeling that Republican officeholders may not win?”

MARTHA RADDATZ – Michel gave himself a slap on the back, as you all know. Donna was also there. In the press conference about what he’s done. The polls don’t seem to reflect this. These are lower than before.

MICHEL MARTIN : It isn’t right now, but it will soon. I am going back to Reagan. I’m referring to Ronald Reagan. He came in high. In the sense of facing difficult economic circumstances, Joe Biden and Ronald Reagan share some commonalities. There is some respect that they have for each other as people who are interested in the national interest. Even though everyone may disagree with them, it is clear that the President is trying to do the right thing for the country. It was significant, I think. It is an established fact. That is what the President before you promised, but didn’t achieve.

It is vital that the voting rights bill be passed. People who are denied the right to vote should be concerned. And the fact Republicans continue to — for Republicans, for people who support their view on this point continue to point at the huge turnout for 2020, doesn’t change the fact Republican-led states continue aggressively litigating and legislating in the area for the whole of 2020. This will continue into the 2021 legislative sessions and this will affect the conditions under which people vote in the year. It’s 19 states that have passed, you know? 400 different pieces of legislation so it’s the circumstances are different. These are all concerns. Joe Biden does not have to remind them of their concern. They are not being conservative just because they feel concerned. The legislators then legislate on the basis of their emotions, even though there’s no scientific basis. Even those who are supportive of them will say that voter fraud has become exceedingly rare. This is because it is difficult to achieve. Is this the real basis of these laws being passed? Are these feelings? Does it stem from the fear that Republican incumbents may not win their elections? It could be the feeling among Republican voters that they aren’t getting fair treatment. These are true things, but they’re not real.

RADDATZ – Lots of authentic Michel.

MARTIN – You don’t need to hear it from people.
