Aaron Rodgers, Green Bay Packers Fined Over COVID Silliness – Opinion

NFL Fines Green Bay Packers 300,000. This is for violating COVID Protocols. Aaron Rodgers, Packers wide receiver Allen Lazard and $14,650 are also being punished by the league.

Rodgers & Lazard attended a Halloween party, which Rodgers & Lazard are not vaccinated. The incident led to the fines. According to the NFL/NFLPA protocol, non-vaccinated athletes are prohibited from participating in functions outside of their home where more than three people are present. The team’s fine stems from, while not sanctioning the party, being aware of the event and neither disciplining Rodgers and Lazard for attending nor reporting the incident to the league.

Rodgers has been criticized for using a homeopathic treatment to combat COVID. This latest incident is part of a continuing tale about how media unleashed all its fury. It didn’t work. However, the media is just as furiously sweeping under the rug news about multiple players in the NFL and other sports who have tested positive for COVID despite being “fully” vaccinated. This is true. These pesky facts contradict The Narrative, which states that any person refusing to receive COVID vaccines are Typhoid Mary Reincarnate. We keep hearing stories of vaccinated athletes testing positive. Um … SQUIRREL!

Rodgers back. On today’s Pat McAfee Show, he issued a non-apology apology for what he said last week so skillfully worded many mistakenly assumed a politician gave it.

Meanwhile, Rodgers’ fiancé, Shailene Woodley, is standing by her man with a tenacity that would have made Tammy Wynette proud. On Instagram, she took to task a photo allegedly showing Rodgers out and about in Los Angeles, colorfully stating in no uncertain terms it wasn’t Rodgers in the picture (caution: language).

This whole thing is absurd. Instead of fining players, shouldn’t The NFL send a bill to whichever pharmaceutical company made whichever vaccine a player took that came down with COVID anyway, asking them to pay 1/17th of the player’s salary for each game they miss? It’ll never happen, but it would make far more sense than screaming at Aaron Rodgers for having the nerve to be the NFL’s boy at the end of the parade of the emperor’s new clothes making all in attendance admit their foolishness at pretending COVID vaccines cover much of anything. It’s possible.
