RedState earlier today reported that a nurse was fired for not complying with COVID-19 vaccine mandates. Despite data that shows the vaccinated spread the virus at the same rate, first responders are being fired or laid off around the country in an ill-informed attempt to “protect” the vaccinated from the unvaccinated. That’s been the line from the federal government as well.
For the majority of this fight, vaccine advocates have been able claim that they are supported by the public. This is not true any more. According to NBC News, a majority of Americans are against vaccine mandates.

The reports of firefighters, police officers, and nurses are sure to be accurate. being sent homeThese are the people who fuel this. Many of these workers are naturally immune to COVID-19 and have been infected since the start. These workers are being dismissed by people who were praised as heros early in the outbreak. There’s something really gross about that, especially given the fact that they aren’t putting others at any more risk than a vaccinated person. This shift in public opinion can easily be attributed to the stories that are being shared.
The vast majority of Americans are underpaid and work hard to assist others. This is a ridiculous reason for punishing them. What number of people will die from staffing shortages at hospitals or in high-crime neighborhoods? Reports indicate that New York City is experiencing the closure of many firehouses due to these mandates. For what purpose? For virtue-signaling politicians to feel strong? The whole thing is disgraceful.
Look, if someone wants to get the vaccine, I’m all for that. I’m not anti-vaccine. It should be an individual choice. That’s even more true now given we have data showing that vaccine mandates do not protect others from contracting the virus. Not to mention that first responders are almost always able to access N95 masks. Are masks still working? If they don’t, then what’s the point of mandates on that side of things?
Nothing makes sense because it’s not meant to make sense. It’s all about tyrannical power over people. This is a great sign that so many people are speaking out and it is encouraging to note the positive shift in public opinion.
