Author On CNN: Trump’s Crimes Make Nixon’s ‘Look Like Parking Violations’

Those old enough to remember Watergate, or who have studied it, know just how hyperbolic the liberal media and the Democrats were in terms of the threat to democracy they claimed Nixon posed.

This comment was made by Commonweal at the time. [emphasis added]:

“The fact of the matter is that The Nixon administration behaved like the Greek colonels.It is quite shocking that the American government would allow it to happen. . . . It is a fact that. . . that Mr.  Nixon has traveled under conservative colors . . . This makes it even more ironic. His Administration’s characteristics resemble so clearly key elements of a police force.“

The police state. However, don’t be alarmed. The liberal media will now give Nixon a ticket for parking tickets, as you’ll notice. Liberals today are happy to soft-pedal the seriousness of Nixon’s misconduct—in order to emphasize the gravity of Trump’s alleged culpability for January 6th.

Whipple didn’t refer to Biden’s “immense problem” when he used a teleprompter to communicate his instructions, contrary to what many might believe.

Take note: Terri Austin, another member of Dan Abrams’ panel, was a legal analysts on Dan Abrams Network. She unwittingly disclosed the mind-meld among the liberal media, and the Dems eager for Trump to be indicted on criminal charges. She spoke out:

“If We If you can link Trump and his aides to all Oath Keepers, as well as the other groups that carried out these extreme acts, it will be possible We Trump’s aides and likely to bring criminal charges.”

“We,” indeed!

BRIANNA KEILAR: Bennie Thompson, the chairman of the committee, set the bar on what they’re trying to achieve here at the very beginning of this series of hearings. This is what he had to say.

JAKE TAPPER – Are witnesses going to have the ability to describe real conversations between Trump’s extremist group members and Trump himself?

CHRIS WHIPPLE – Just imagine Trump saying, on national television, “Stay back, and watch.” You see, everything fits together, right? It is a potentially disastrous testimony. Trump can be connected to a plan to start a mob against the Capitol. 

In another way, however, what happens tomorrow is almost irrelevant when we consider the facts. We know that Donald Trump, Mark Meadows and other candidates were informed in clear terms they had lost the election. The group tried to subvert it anyway, so they went ahead. They organized a mob and attacked the Capitol. They were aware that the mob was well-armed and didn’t care about how many died. 

Okay, so I don’t know much about lawyers. However, I believe I have some knowledge about past presidential scandals. Und You can compare this to Richard Nixon and H.R. Haldemann says that their crimes are similar to parking violations.
