New York Times LOL: ‘Why Abrams Isn’t Embracing Her Stardom (So Far)’

It’s amazing how dumb it is The New York TimesThink we’re? One day after the news leaked that Stacey Abrams was making a gaudy cameo as the president of “United Earth” in the Paramount Plus TV series Star Trek Discovery, Times political reporter Maya King wrote a piece of campaign publicity headlined “Why Abrams isn’t Emracing Her Stardom So Far”

Subhead: “Running to the governorship in Georgia, she’s talking more about Medicaid expansion and voting rights.”

In the story’s 1,405 words, there is no mention of her. Star Trek cameo. Perhaps the story had been “in the works” long before the news was published. But the headline and the spin is still embarrassing.

King stated that Abrams campaigned in Georgia’s small towns, focusing her attention on policy rather than her celebrity status as a national Democrat celebrity whose name was “synonymous” with his struggle for voting rights.

She has not expressed a desire to place ballot access at her campaign’s center. Cuthbert is where her first days of campaigning were spent. There, she was more concerned about Medicaid expansion and small business aid than the issue that brought her national attention.

The strategy of Ms. Abrams amounts to a big bet that her campaign will survive an election year with Democrats. It capitalizes on Georgia’s rapidly changing demographics, and wins over voters on the fence who desire their governor to stay above all national political debates.

Maya King shared this same publicity stunt on her Twitter page:

Opposite are those on the “right” who “seek to portray her as a sore loser.” “Republicans will portray Ms. Abrams, a national leader — but one they are determined to defeat at any cost.

Is it possible to imagine that there will be a flood of money from the national Democratic Party into Stacey Abrams’ campaign, despite this being “all-costs”? The ending of the story is the TimesOne quote was allowed from Gov. Brian Kemp beat her in 2018.

Tate Mitchell, who was a spokeswoman for Mr. Kemp, stated that Stacey Abrams had spent four years looking for style magazine covers and championing the dangerous far-left national Democrats agenda. “For her, the campaign to become governor is all about obtaining more money and power — rather than putting Georgians first,” she said.

Maya King, however, clearly sees Abrams to be an inspiring figure. You can also see another tweet.
