MSNBC Slags Kavanaugh, Barrett SCOTUS Resumes as ‘Abysmal, Embarrassing’

Go ahead and say Ketanji Jones Jackson is a Biden nominee for SCOTUS. However, to dismiss the accomplishments of Amy Coney Barrett (Bret Kavanaugh) is to belittle their credentials.

Appearing On Jonathan Capehart hosts the Sunday Show MSNBC’s Fordham Law Professor Christina Greer made a big self-injury with this ridiculous allegation.

“We see so many senators trying desperately to justify their own racism, sexism and seamless voting for this bill. Amy Coney Barrett and Brett Kavanaugh. We can see their CVs and it is embarrassing and abysmal. They may also have some thoughts about the Supreme Court.

Capehart cacked like Kamala when Greer claimed Jackson’s resume was as long as a “CVS receipt” (the drugstore’s customers often get about a yardstick of coupons). Let’s look at Kavanaugh, Coney Barrett and their allegedly “abysmal [and embarrassing]” qualifications.

Kavanaugh:

  • Cum laudeYale University, History major Undergrad Degree
  • Yale Law School
  • Two U.S. judges were clerked to me Circuit Court of Appeals [the level just below the Supreme Court.]
  • Assisting the US Solicitor in General in matters in which there is a government interest.
  • Assistant to Supreme Court Justice Anthony Kennedy.
  • 12-years as a judge at the Court of Appeals in the District of Columbia  [considered the most influential court after the Supreme Court.]

Barrett:

  • Phi Beta Kappa is Rhodes College’s Undergrad Program. magna cum laude. Named most outstanding English department graduate.
  • First in her class to graduate from Notre Dame Law School Summa Cum LaudeThe law review’s executive editor.
  • Assisting a U.S. Court of Appeals judge for the DC Circuit.
  • Assistant to Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia.  She was also referred to by a fellow clerk, who is a liberal. “A truly gifted lawyer . . . I don’t use the word brilliant lightly. Only 40 Supreme Court clerks were available in October 1998. None of them are particularly gifted. She was one of the two best lawyers of the 40 — and It is arguably the best.
  • Notre Dame law school professor; Three times, he was awarded the “Distinguished Professor Of The Year” title.

Know what was “abysmal, embarrassing?” Greer’s unsuccessful attempt to denigrate Kavanaugh or Coney Barrett’s credentials. Greer is such a partisan that after Kavanaugh was confirmed, she ranted “he exhibited a temperament not befitting a sales clerk at your local mall”…in response to being accused of raping women as a teenager.

Capehart kept going, and pointed to the aforementioned. Washington Post The cartoon suggests that Kavanaugh’s qualification could be represented in a beer case, as opposed to Brown Jackson’s credentialed overloaded cart.

The panel displayed an utter disregard for the hypocrisy, irony, and despicable nature of their claims, then went on to criticize Republicans for criticizing Democrat SCOTUS nominators.

Tim Miller, MSNBC’s political analyst, said that Republicans are engaging in “performative and trolly-cruel” battles with Dem nominees.

Amna Nawaz, a PBS NewsHour A correspondent, who also works as a contributor to MSNBC, stated that there was a “kind” of The reflexive Republican reaction to everything this president does“right now,” as though Democrats had never done this.

It is likely that members of the panel were aware that the phrase “to Bork” was used after Democrats had in 1987 decimated the candidacy for Robert Bork (the supremely qualified nominee) Who was the Chair of the Senate Judiciary Committee who led the attack on Robert Bork? Joe Biden was then the chair of Senate Judiciary Committee.

Biden led the Democrats’ charge. They were again at it in 1991. Biden points finger at Clarence Thomas 1991Clarence Thomas nominated MSNBC would like to discuss “performative attacks” playing to the base. It could be illustrated best by an iconic photograph of Biden accusing Thomas. Ted Kennedy, seen looking on, launched a vicious attack of his own on Bork.

Recent events included the contemptible Democrat attack against the nomination of Brett Kavanaugh. In which Democrats played to their base and dredged out unproven accusations of teenage rape (even gang rape!) against Kavanaugh.

MSNBC, the liberal media, please spare us from the fake outrage of pre-emptively accusing Republicans, Brown Jackson’s unfair criticism, and instead take a look at the Democrats history of making scurrilous accusations against Republican nominees.

On Jonathan Capehart’s MSNBC show, panelists claiming Brett Kavanaugh and Amy Coney Barrett’s qualifications to serve on the Supreme Court were “abysmal and embarrassing” was sponsored in part by AT&T.

CHRISTINA GREE: It seems that these men with similar degrees or who have voted for the same candidates suddenly feel it is a problem because she is too wealthy or out of touch. She was, as far as we know, a public defender. AMNA NAWAZ MSNBC Contributor, also for PBS

Her qualifications go beyond a CVS receipt. [Capehart heard laughing off-screen.]Yet, we see so many senators trying desperately to justify their own racism or sexism while they seamlessly vote for it.Amy Coney Barrett and Brett Kavanaugh. We can see their CVs and it is embarrassing and abysmal. They may also be asked why they should be on this court.

JONATHAN CAPEHART : Christina, your comment about the CVS receipt is hilarious. It’s a throw. She has a lot of qualifications. Two, she is extremely qualified. The Washington Post Editorial page Today, The cartoon we have today clearly shows what you are talking about Judge Jackson pushing all her qualifications along that trolley and Justice Kavanaugh standing behind her saying, “What? No beer?”

TIM MILLER Republican politicians are going to fight this cruel and pathetically absurd, trolly-like battleBecause they believe that is what made Donald Trump successful. That’s why they believe that Donald Trump attracted Republican voters. They are correct in many cases. So, they believe that they can just pass this confirmation with out having to put on a performative fight. Otherwise, there will be backlash.

(….)

CAPEHART (Not likely) – Even if Republicans throw racism, sexism and misogyny at Her in the Process, it’s unlikely that she will be defeated by them.

AMNA NAWAZ: I agree with you. History is our guide. But there are some things we can point to. This is in spite of the statements that have been made by a few Republicans thus far. Which, Tim said, does not seem to be a kind of The reflexive Republican reaction to everything this president doesIt is used mainly as a communication tool right now.
