Hollywood celebrities sought to rally the world against the global COVID-19 pandemic by coming together on video to sing a famous globalist anthem.
Actress Gal Gadot, the Israeli star of “Wonder Woman,” put together the video project and posted it to Instagram on Wednesday night, saying, “We are all in this together, we will get through this together.”
“Let’s imagine together,” she added. “Sing with us ❤ All love to you, from me and my dear friends.”
Among those who contributed selfie performances were Will Ferrell, Natalie Portman, Jimmy Fallon, Zoe Kravitz, Amy Adams, Mark Ruffalo, James Marsden, Sarah Silverman and Maya Rudolph.

“Day six in self quarantine, and I’ve got to say these past few days got me feeling a bit philosophical,” Gadot said in introducing the video. “This virus has affected the entire world. Everyone. Doesn’t matter who you are, where you’re from. We’re all in this together.”
According to Gadot, she was inspired by a video of a man in Italy playing the trumpet from his balcony for the benefit of his neighbors during a coronavirus lockdown.
“He was playing ‘Imagine’ and there was something so powerful and pure about this video. And it goes like this,” she said, before singing the first line of the song. The video then cut to the other celebrities singing a line each.
“Imagine,” a hit single from Lennon’s 1971 album of the same name, advocates a radical international socialist utopia in which religion, nations and property rights have been abolished along with war and hunger.
Gadot’s version of the song quickly went viral, wracking up nearly 8 million views on Instagram and Twitter as of Thursday morning.
Conservatives “cringe” over celebrities singing Imagine on video
Many social media users cheered the effort as a much needed emotional boost in trying times.

However, others were less impressed.

Globally nearly 223,000 people have been infected and more than 9,000 have died, according to a Johns Hopkins University tracking website. The U.S. death toll has reached 150, with nearly 9,500 people having tested positive for the disease.
