Wow: Mika Calls Out Biden’s ‘Inadequate’ Ukraine Response, ‘Isn’t Strong Enough’

Tuesday, Morning JoeMika Brzezinski (liberal co-host) sounded like an hawk when it came to Ukraine. The host approvingly mentioned foreign policy experts calling Russian’s invasion of eastern provinces an invasion and suggested that Biden’s actions so far were inadequate.

Brzezinski surprisedly reacted in this surprising manner to the crisis’s escalating nature:

• Approvingly, two individuals called Putin’s incursion into Ukraine’s eastern regions an invasion.
• It suggests that Biden’s reaction has been inadequate and not strong enough.
• Assisting people who don’t think it’s invasion.

Brzezinski turned to Richard Haass of the Council on Foreign Relations and asked: “I want to know if you would describe the Biden strategy thus far as passive defense, with economic sanctions as the central point?” Is that it? It is it? Not enough “Do you not want to respond to McFaul’s and Cheney’s invasion?

Moments later she noted: “There are many pretty smart minds in foreign policy who are worried thatWe are not strong enough in our responses“The sanctions currently in place don’t penalize those who do wrong.”

Republican Congresswoman, and member of the House Armed Services Committee Liz Cheney tweets, “Russia invades Ukraine.” Our allies and the Biden administration must immediately impose all crippling sanctions.”

Richard Haass asked me a simple question before we start to discuss all options available in terms sanctions. Is the Biden strategy passive deterrence or is the center of Biden’s economic sanctions? Has that been successful? It is it? Not enough McFaul & Cheney don’t call it an invasion.
