We Don’t Have Much More Time Left on Earth – Opinion

AOC’s courage in being a leader for progressive causes is something that can sometimes be difficult. She became an elected official three years ago. Courage can also be described as the ability to drink your urine alone, if there is no water source on an isolated desert island. One of these brave acts is necessary to survive on Earth, and the other is meant to be a joke while you’re surviving.

I’m hoping you guessed which is which.

Alexandria Ocasio Cortez, a congress lady from New York is one of our favourite people to watch in politics at RedState. Her presence is an oasis of light in Washington D.C.’s smokey corridors. We thank God for her every day.

Below are just a few recent ways we have shown our love for her.

You see, we simply adore this Congressperson — and how could you not?

I want to make this clear: after a RedState poll, it was unanimous that nobody wants to be in bed with her. We just simply adore her antics and there’s nothing wrong with that.

This post was written because I was on a radio show and the subject of the Green New Deal came up. AOC is a big supporter for it since her election. As this massive wealth transfer boondoggle was being discussed, the subject came up about AOC’s claim a couple of years back that the Earth and every single person on this planet only had 12 years left to live.

I thought to myself, “Where are we in the AOC Doomsday Clock Calendar?” If you don’t recall the comment here is a refresher…

Start at USA Today

The youngest woman ever elected to Congress again made headlines and sparked conservative criticism when she said Monday that she and other young Americans fear “the world is going to end in 12 years if we don’t address climate change.”

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.), made this comment during an interview at MLK Now in New York City, celebrating Martin Luther King Jr.’s legacy, with Ta-Nehisi Coates, a writer.

Ocasio-Cortez called the fight to mitigate the effects of climate change her generation’s “World War II.”

“Millennials and Gen Z and all these folks that come after us are looking up, and we’re like, ‘The world is going to end in 12 years if we don’t address climate change, and your biggest issue is how are we gonna pay for it?’ ” she said.

Isn’t she special?

However, she is correct in her observation.

Why are people concerned about the cost of something when you’re not going to be around to have to pay the bill? Her thinking is flawed, but it could be true. Not that the Earth is going to end in 12 years or less, but in her statement about who cares about who’s going to pay for it. In fact, with the Biden administration’s latest budget, it’s pretty clear that they are also employing a “Who cares who is going to pay for any of this?” mentality.

USA Today reported that Cortez announced her belief that the world would be ready in twelve years’ time on January 22, 2019. Now, I’m sure that she is not only a fabulous congressperson — she might also be somewhat of a Mystic and thus tuned in to Mother Earth and nature like no other elected official. This is what you’d hear if only you listened to her. Duh.

AOC made a very important point. AOC is far smarter than myself and more capable of converting oxygen into carbon. There are only 3 219 days to go on this blue-blue marble planet Earth.

It is equivalent to 8.8 years. This leaves just two Presidential election cycles.

The damage is done and the time is passed so that, no matter how much money we try to spend to correct the problem, it won’t be enough. You just can’t fix over two hundred years of “damage” in a mere 8.8 years.

Enjoy your time here, children, and try to do the same thing that our beloved congressperson from New York’s soon-to be-former great State would do.

Get down to Florida, don’t wear a mask, definitely DO NOT go to Disney, and party like it is 1999.
