We Can Shut Down Churches and Schools For a Virus, But Not Bathhouses? – Opinion

Monkey pox has been in the news despite only affecting a small percentage of the population and nearly 100% being homosexual men. It’s a sexually transmitted disease with an easy fix…stay away from unsafe sexual practices. To suggest that such things are possible is homophobia. One CA senator, Scott Wiener said:

Closing bathhouses in 1980s didn’t reduce HIV. It was an epic blunder & pushed people into the shadows. Let’s not make that same knee-jerk mistake with MPX

Due to fears of COVID transmissions the government forced businesses and gatherings into shut-down. It also closed down schools and other institutions, driving our economy into a crisis and creating a massive education crisis. Are we to believe that somehow shutting down the mom & pop flower shop was vital to national health, but shutting down bathhouses that are the site of regular, risky, gay sex orgies is not? If you’re gay, you don’t have to follow the same health rules that have been imposed on all of us?

This isn’t a crazy request to demand that men stop having unprotected sex in order to save themselves. Scott Weiner, an activist who believes that men should have the freedom to interact with anyone they like without consequences, is proving insane. He also thinks it is acceptable for small businesses and schools to be shut down because of a virus, while shutting down bathrooms that allow risky behaviour is unacceptable.

I’m just sayin’.
