WATCH: Stunning Footage of Truck Flipping in Tornado

Large tornadoes struck a large portion of Texas Monday. I was in the Fort Worth area and while I wasn’t hit by the tornado, I did get the accompanying storm with the sky turning dark, a lot of loud wind, and hail.

A young male had an unfortunate encounter in Elgin with a tornado. The video has over 1.5 million views. Driver, a Chevrolet Silverado 1500 Crew Cab truck in red, got caught in tornadoes on Texas 95. Stormchaser Brian Emfinger had been filming the tornado and he recorded what followed. “This is a story about a red truck and a tornado,” he said.

As debris is falling everywhere, you can clearly see that the tornado wind hits the truck. The truck flips upside down and the driver simply drives away. “I cannot believe they drove away like that,” Emfinger declared.

Marcus Reynolds, another storm chaser stated that the driver was aged 16-17 years and had recently sustained an arm injury from his ordeal. Reynolds stated that Reynolds allowed the boy to use his cellphone to call his parents. Reynolds stated that the tornado was an EF-2, which means strong winds with an estimate of 111-135 mph.

That’s pretty amazing and I wonder what he told his parents when he got home. “Well, you see, Dad, there’s this scratch on the hood because…” It takes some kind of presence of mind just to drive off like that after such an experience.

This was only one of many clips that people shared about Monday’s tornadoes.

Reed Timmer was another storm chaser who caught the tornado crossing his path. He was streaming live and it then passed over Reed Timmer. This caused some concern. He was not hurt.

One more tornado was seen outside of a Walmart in Round Rock. The tornado can be seen in the parking area as people try to enter the store.

It appears that the people in the clips above were okay.
