In wrapping up the worst week of Biden’s Titanic-like voyage into infamy, the White House offered that Joe wasn’t making a “human” comparison by labeling all Republicans 21st century Bull Connors; he was using a historical comparison to… history or something.
Jen Psaki said,
“I think everybody listening to that speech who’s speaking on the level, as my mother would say, would note that he was not comparing them as humans, he was comparing the choice to those figures in history and where they’re going to position themselves as they determine whether they’re going to support the fundamental right to vote or not,”
It’s not on a Kamala Harris-level of nonsense. Kamala Harris has a way with words that is unlike any other. But Psaki’s effort today was a solid effort. Her problem remains that she’s constantly cleaning up after Joe soils his shorts.
The week ends with
- Screaming “racists!!” didn’t work.
- J6 disappeared from the map.
- Sinema and Manchin threw wrenches into Biden’s face.
- He was revoked by the Supreme Court, his poll numbers indicate that he is gaining COVID popularity.
Now, where do we go from here? Something shiny. A distraction. Ukraine, maybe?
