You might call it an unorthodox choice. You could call it bold.
At the University of Florida, a unique “group study room” is on offer.
Evidently, the space for collaboration needed a name.
A memorable moment was made by the school.
Your attending sons and daughters can commune with their peers in Unit 229 — the “Karl Marx Group Study Room.”
You might assume that only those with certain philosophies would be enshrined in an educational institution NotThis will result in:
Via The Black Book of Communism here’s an estimated death toll by country:
- China: China has 65 Million
- Soviet Union: 20 million
- North Korea: 2,000,000
- Cambodia: 2 Million
- Vietnam: 1 Million
- Africa: 1.7 Million
- Afghanistan: 1.5million
- Eastern Europe, 1,000,000
- Latin America: 150,000
You might think that, but you’d be wrong.
The Campus Reform Report:
Every room is dedicated to the names of individuals who have had a profound impact on academia in literature, politics and philosophy.
The placard on the door pegs Karl as a “philosopher, radical economist, and revolutionary critic, in his own words, ‘of all that exists.’”
Students can also schedule time for collaboration in the Karl Marx Group Study Room located at University of Florida.

If only those who followed him could’ve been more critical of murder.

- Mahatma Gandhi
It’s not an utter shock to see Karl promoted by public education.
In some American areas, it seems that the old villains are beginning to rise in hero status.
On Monday I reported that the University of Wisconsin Madison was dressed in flyers by the International Marxist Tendency.
There were signs advertising a forthcoming meeting and the newly discovered cure for COVID: Socialism.
One might be hard-pressed to find Americans hailing Hitler’s preferred economic system while acknowledging what, in fact, it is: a system which forcibly removes the individual’s right to own a business; one in which our government owns all products and means of production.
Somehow, an epic myth has nationally spread: the notion that, under socialism, you magically become the owner of whatever company at which you’re presently a peon.
Here in 2022, some 80 years after the Second World War, America has successfully picked avowed socialists — AKA people who want to control all businesses and the prices of all goods and services — as lawmakers.
A beloved organisation identifies loudly and clearly:

We’re living in revolutionary times.
Back to the University of Florida, if students are going to study in the Karl Marx room, hopefully at some point, they’ll study Karl Marx — the real one, not the genie who lets your barista own Starbucks.
