Tucker Slams Biden’s Gun Control Hypocrisy: Hunter Lied on Gun Check

Moments after President Joe Biden wrapped up his bitterly partisan address to the nation where he scolded Republicans in Congress for not moving fast enough to pass his gun-grabbing agenda, Fox News star Tucker Carlson opened his show and tore into Biden for wanting to take American’s Second Amendment rights away. It was also revealed that Hunter, his son, has been accused of lying in a federal background check on firearms. This is a felony. 

Carlson opened by noting what he thinks Biden’s real motivation is for pushing gun control so soon after a mass shooting while families are still grieving: “facing almost certain defeat for his party in the midterm elections five months from now, Joe Biden has become desperate. He’s decided to leverage the murder of nineteen children in Texas last week for political advantage.” 

After playing a soundbite of Biden screaming about banning “assault rifles”, or raising the age to buy them to 21 years old, as well as passing a national red flag law, despite the fact that the red flag law in New York did nothing to prevent the mass shooting in Buffalo, Tucker tore into Biden’s agenda: 

The President stated tonight that your constitutional rights do not have to be absolute. However, by taking them away we aren’t actually taking your rights away. We’re protecting the rights of children. You might wonder, “Am I a danger to children?” This question was never addressed by the President. This, however, serves the purpose of disarming people who didn’t vote for Joe Biden. Therefore, Democrats failed to prosecute gun crimes within our cities, where the majority of the crime takes place, simultaneously with the effort to recategorize guns in your closet in felonies.

Tucker then pointed out Biden’s glaring hypocrisy for going after law-abiding gun owners yet never mentioning that his son Hunter lied on a federal background check to buy a gun: “if you’re at all confused about whether the effort here is selective, if this is enforcement only of certain people, you’ll notice the President never mentioned the apparent federal gun felony his own son committed when he lied on a federal background form when he bought a handgun.” 

Instead, Tucker noted that “Biden’s fellow Democrats and the House of Representatives spent the day debating ways to disarm you, Americans who have committed no crime at all and want only to protect themselves and their families.”

For political gain, he’s planning to exploit the Texas massacre of nineteen children last week. From the White House, he spoke about the necessity to disarm the populace. We’re going to spare you all of it. We’ve taken a few select soundbites that sum up the President’s message.

CARLSON – So, the President said tonight that your constitutional rights do not have to be absolute. However, in taking away these rights, we aren’t actually taking away your rights. Instead, we are protecting children. You might wonder, “Am I a threat?” This question was never addressed by the President. This is a disarmament effort that people did not vote to support Joe Biden. That is why, simultaneously with the attempt to categorize guns in your closets as felonies and this, Democrats have failed to prosecute gun crime in the cities where the majority of the crime occurs. If you are unsure whether this effort is selective or if it is only enforcement of some people, then you will notice that the President didn’t mention the federal gun crime his son, who lied to federal background forms when he purchased a handgun. That was not mentioned. The Justice Department completely ignored this. Biden and his fellow Democrats spent the day discussing ways to arm you, Americans who are not guilty of any crime and only want to protect their family and themselves.
